    Friendlist Woes

So, we have a lovely new blacklist feature, but I wish the Friendlist would be fixed alongside.

When inviting someone to be 'Friends', one person invites, the other accepts, it ends with both being added to each other's list.

When someone just goes through a 'Friendlist cleanup' once a year, to remove people they hadn't been in contact with for a year or more, no harm is done.

However, as it is right now, if you unfriend someone, you remain on THEIR friendlist, and with that, they retain the ability to see the zone you are in, which opens up for stalking.
Combined with 'Blacklist' being onesided, this makes it even worse.

A few people from my circle of friends have been dealing with someone who turned annoying from their end, we have the mutual annoyance blacklisted, but this only helps partially. That person, as we are told by others who never friended the annoying one, is following and using nuisance emotes and behaviour.
To those who have that person blacklisted, there is no issue anymore.

What I would ask for is that Friend List entries must be mutual, if ONE person removes theirs, the other side's entry would be forcibly removed, too, this would prevent stalking.

An even BETTER approach would be something that I experienced in a Social MMO which I cannot name for TOS reasons.

In that game, we had something like adventurer plates, for profiles. We also had a friendlist feature, and of course a blocking feature.

When unfriended, you could always browse the profile of another person, there was no privacy setting in that regard, as the profile was used to set some flags regarding the forms of social contact you wanted.

When friended, you had a list where you could see if friends were online or not.

Removing someone from your friendlist would remove you from theirs, too.

However, now how the block feature worked there. First, it unfriended you, mutually. Next, it would mute both parties so you could not read either side in chat. As followup, it would hide the character from each other and also block off reading the profile of the other party.
This way, if one party blocked another, the blocked could not see or read the blocking person either, which would remove further stalking potential.

The 'I don't want to see you, you don't get to see me' system might be a bit tricky to implement, but at least a forced removal of onesided Friendlisting would be very appropriate.

It s a feature i want for years ! it s not normal at this point that it doesnt exist yet ! and situation become ridiculous

That s why i don t accept anyone on my friendlist because usually i have to justify myself « sorry because bad experience of stalking etc etc », some people take it well, others bad and some….blacklist me because i refuse their friendlist loool. And in others situation i can play with people i enjoy and because like we dont know how relationship in game will become, i no friendlist them because i m afraid now…

Yesterday i played with someone who ask me in friendlist, i know that i will never play with this player from anoter data center so now i have to let the ask in my screen and i have to wait few days and when she will be offline…. Refuse her ask to not harm her it s really ridiculous

And of course this future feature have to work since beginning because i know that some people that i remove from my friendlist years ago still have me and can stalk me

Sorry english not my native language
