With all due respect, I don't know what reactions you expect when you came here basically telling people that they just repeat after each other and don't have their own opinions and then try to push your opinion on other people and calling them wrong for thinking something else than you do. There are as many opinions as there are people and everyone is entitled to have their own, just because a lot of people don't like something doesn't mean that they are an echo chamber and that any of them are wrong, opinions are subjective.
I started playing FFXIV a little bit over a year ago so I didn't have enough time to build up any real nostalgia in me and after finishing all the MSQ parts, I also think that Dawntrail ended up being a VERY weak part of the game. To be honest it was the first part of the MSQ that made me want to skip some cutscenes, but I decided not to do it, just to make sure I still understood what was going on. Mind you, I was not a fun of Stormblood at all, it was just not my cup of tea, and even during Stormblood I didn't find myself so straight up bored and annoyed and I met some new characters there that I actually cared about. Additionally, I didn't read any opinions about Dawntrail until I finished the MSQ so I was not biased by anything and I for sure was not "echoing" anyone else's opinion. From what I know, in my FC that has some new players and some veterans, there's not really one person that genuinely likes Dawntrail, there are some that think that it is so far an okay-ish expansion, but no one actually truly likes it. Maybe besides dungeons and raids, I enjoyed these as well. And I can see these opinions being reflected by how many people in my FC closed their subscriptions very fast after finishing MSQ or log in only once a week to do raids and that's it.
Tl;DR nostalgia and bias are not the problem here and everyone is entitled to have their own opinion.
Happy Yuletide to everyone!
