FFXIV has lost it's heart

Ironically, even they didn't like 6.X all that much. When the patches finished, most of the comments were about either how it wound up essentially being a near FFIV rip, how it spent months of build-up without feeling like there was any real pay-off, issues with Zero's character seeming underdeveloped and/ or the writing feeling underwhelming.

Some people weren't bothered one way or the other and just took it for what it was, of course, and to each their own, but to jump in and call one of the most universally criticised and unpopular arcs of the game your favourite part of the whole of FFXIV and decide any opinions to the contrary signals "a negative echo chamber" is certainly a choice.
