Where did the Lalafell hate originate?

At the risk of sounding like one of those people that whine about people disliking the race I play, I just wanted to ask. Where exactly did the whole thing against Lalafells originate? I hate to sound whiny but this is a legitimate question. I\\'m honestly unsure about the whole thing. Is it because gnomes from WoW have basically made people hate any short races in MMOs? Is it because people think Lala players are lolicons or wannabe-kid diddlers or something? Or is the Lalafell hate about as common as the dragoon joke, IE, Nonexistent? Is it all of the above? Is it one of the above? Or none of the above?

One another note, I wholly agree that the makes are kind of creepy. One of the few times they haven\\'t been crept to me is a cross-dressing glamour set I saw on the glamour set site. That says something about the female Lalafells.

Can confirm. Desktop site is far better - even on phone. Don't bother with mobile.

As far as the hate? I think it's just gentle ribbing that carried over from XI days. As others have said, it's the same that has carried over with Dragoons, and Elezen/elvaan (although XIV variety seem far more sensitive to the jokes!) and other things.

Granted, of course there will be people who really just don't like the race, and that's fine. I don't like a few options in this game either, but hey, to each their own.

I dunno about overall Lala hate. I see a Lala, I tend to pet it. But in story...I mean...a good number of Lalas have caused the WoL much more grief than say the Ascians. I can count at least 3 off the top of my head.

Oh, I know there's a lot of people like that, on the JP servers especially. And yeah, same. Teledji, that one from the crystal braves who I only now forgot their name, and I'm going to assume Lolorito will eventually since he's taken over Ul'dah where I'm at in the story. Though I might be wrong.

As for lala hate. I dont really see it. what little i do see i used to put down to age old resentment in FFXI. everyone was jealous of the taru taru MP. but these days who knows....
