I leave more often for my own sanity.
If i'm leveling a job that is 90+ for example and I get Sastasha i'd rather leave and do some fates instead.
I'm paying a sub and I at least want to enjoy myself a little bit.

there is so little content in this game already that to deny people more ability to play would hurt everybody. including you/ im going to be real. there should not be a penalty for leaving a dungeon. if somebody is being toxic to you and you want to leave, say you have YPYT or a toxic player complain about your healing or dps, and you feel trapped and humiliated progressing further, you are punished for leaving. not them. and you are locked out of the already restricted amount of content. tell me. who wins here? the toxic people. because you leaving gets them what they wanted, and you are punished for not getting "gud"For those who roulette queue into a dungeon and then immediately quit because they don't want to do that dungeon, they should be locked out of roulettes until the reset next day. This should also apply to those who rage quit before the dungeon is completed.
This would not apply to those who get disconnected due to network issues, and when they do reconnect they must rejoin the dungeon they got disconnected from, and are barred from undergoing any other roulettes until either that dungeon completes, or they are voted out from the party.
It's ridiculous to waste people's time, especially those who have been in a queue for 30+ mins, only to leave the party stranded without a tank or healer. Abandoning a dungeon should be voted on by the entire party.
I think it's a fair penalty for those who want all the benefits of easy tomes and xp, but don't want to have to actually EARN the rewards, or think they're too good to party with the likes of "noobs". If you queue into the roulettes, you have to take what you're given. As they say, beggars can't be choosers.
if this dungeons should be a MSQ dungeon, your gated out msq progression. Oh but maybe u can ask to be kicked, right? no. its against TOS. for some reason. this game is dying and will continue to die for the next 3 years. the last thing we want to do is chase away more players. I dont understand why you want to punish people who leave either. it takes 2 seconds to replace them. infact most content doesn't need them. forcing players to play content they dont enjoy is a solid way to make people leave the game too.

I think the 30 minute timer is enough.
I've had situations in the past arise like an unexpected work emergency that required that I leave a dungeon early. I know others can have things come up with their kids suddenly. Despite best intentions, life can happen.
I think they have a 3 strikes rule or something per day? I don't recall but isn't there a counter when the lockout gets worse if you keep leaving? I think that is good enough. I've rarely had to wait more than a minute or two when someone disconnects for a replacement.

There are two separate systems.I think they have a 3 strikes rule or something per day? I don't recall but isn't there a counter when the lockout gets worse if you keep leaving? (1) If you fail to accept a duty when Duty Finder pops for whatever reason (you let the 45sec timer count down, you intentionally withdraw, etc.), you incur a strike. After the first strike, you can immediately requeue. I personally don't know what happens after the second, third, etc. strike.
(2) If you are the first to leave an instance of your own free will -- that is, you accepted the Duty Finder pop, saw the dungeon/trial/raid to be run, and then choose to leave without asking for a "vote abandon" -- you cannot queue via Duty Finder for 30min.

After 3 strikes you get a 30 minute lockout, after that any queue you deny or miss nets you another 30 minute lockout for the next 24 hours. If someone in your party denies a queue you all get a strike, or a lockout if they're at or beyond 3 strikes. There are two separate systems.

Also worth noting that even in a full premade roulette party, if someone leaves they will get the 30 minute leaver penalty.

Worth noting that if you make the leaver penalty much harsher, people would just disconnect at the start. So instead of them leaving and you being able to start looking for a replacement immediately, you're now forced to wait 5 minutes to vote kick then you can find a replacement.
Also, in the case of a tank/healer being the one vote kicked, the remaining healer/tank will very likely just leave as soon as the kick goes through and instantly requeue while the 2 DPS are stuck waiting for a tank and a healer.
Nice feedback everybody. I'm glad we can have these types of discussions. Makes for a healthy community. Peace, love, and ((Good Game)).
