call me stupid. but most skirmish parties are full by the time they get to limsa so if you're looking for one ul'dah would be abetter place to look i think

Yep and everyone made it perfectly clear why your assumption was unfair, and yet you bring it up again.

Whatevs, Skirmish is fun, I love boss rush in games. And guaranteed loot is nice and encouraging for players. Even if you get something you don't necessarily want you can trade/sell it.

My assumption was not unfair, to me. But I agree, Kap. I said it was fun. What I question is the "fuss free" battle content. That is all. And as I said before, fuss free to me, means something like Campaign, talk to NPC, wait for battle, join, done.

If forming a party is that difficult for you, I suggest you go play a single player game.

I just started Skirmishing (failed 3 times so far lolz) but its nice to see something with a bit of challenge. Not as hard as Garuda or Darnus (not even CLOSE to darnus), but challenging all the same.

I'm busy working on getting heavy darklight and my GC weapon/acessories to complete my GC set so I won't be doing them as much, but it's a nice filler in case I get tired of doing Aurum Vales over and over and ooover... or if I can't find a caravan party.

There need to be enough content to make up for the 400 levels required to level up battle classes. This filler will definitely help.

I'm glad people are finding this fun, and I do see regular shouts for it in Ul'dah, so I think its popularity is increasing. For those who want an easier way to party up for skirmish, they can try the Party menu (I regularly do see parties forming through the party menu, so it's easy enough to join and show up).

On the down side, I found it rather lacked challenge (point, click, nuke, next). But I believe that was the intent. It would be interesting if they made another set of Skirmishes that worked the same way but the battles were more challenging.

Yes. It is the best event in the game for getting high end weapons. It is fun to do. It is challenging. If they made it any more challenging it would be another high level Garuda that most players couldn't do. High-end players have Raven to fight. General players need Skirmish. As to all old bosses... SE, plz add another island with new bosses... >(o.o)<

Skirmish isn't anything new.. same old bosses. Wish they added new stuff. They made AV & CC less of a dungeon. Would of been nice if they just made HNMs on the field.
