    Congratulations on Skirmish SE!

    I didnt believe it possible, but you managed to make a really fun, yet appropriately challenging event, with decent rewards. I don't know what the future holds for dungeon and primal type content in terms of difficulty, but if you keep putting out great content like Skirmish, then casual/average players will love FFXIV. I know that they said that 2.0will include difficulty settings and better drops rates/systems, but I'll reserve judgement on that until after 2.0.

    The point is that this content is fun and provides a decent challenge, that is probably the most fun I have had in this game as far as repeatable content (the GC and Job quests/instances are great too). Its also quick and very accessable. Its the kind of stress free, casual content, that Ive been looking for, that still provides that "Epic" feel.

    This as opposed to the soul-sucking, spirit-crushing experience (due to difficulty or drops) that all the primals and dungeons offer. And I know that there are other casual content, but to me they all are either bad in concept or implementation. Hamlet Def? Horrible implementation, and kinda boring. Caravan Escort? Just very boring. GC and regular Leves? yawn.... etc, etc, etc = all boring. But Skirmish? How can I not love a Notorious Monster-a-thon?

    The content was good enough that I finally got my brothers and a few friends to come back and we have been having a blast non-stop just about every night. This is something I havent been able to do before. I am the type that likes to do the harder EG challenges (even though Im still trying to beat Garuda :b), my 2 brothers and my friends cant stand the current EG content. I was worried about SE's plans to induct casual players into events "that mattered"/"felt epic". But if Skirmish is any indication, then it looks like they can pull it off. Another great thing about the content is that its filled with lesser versions of the real NMs that inexperienced players can use as a sort of training ground. Same with the end bosses too: can teach about CC and survival skills.

    If I had anything bad to say about Skirmish, it would be that the final bosses are maybe a little overboard with hate reset. But its not horrible. The other thing would be that I think SE missed an oppertunity to either also have it give seals or to have it only give seals. Offering different options of content like this that reward seals and combo'd together with more gear options from GC vendor would be a great direction for casual content.

    TL;DR
    Skirmish is fricken awesome, more of this caliber of casual content please!! And please consider making the focus of such content on GC seals!

    The Treant and Golem are rather annoying, but otherwise it was a pretty fun experience. Being that I have primal weapons for all my classes, I doubt it's something I'm going to revisit often, but for those needing to gear up, it gives good enough rewards and experience for the mobs' dungeon counterparts.

    They still need to put in a token system like Garuda so that everyone can be happy, especially in PUG.

    Sadly i still haven't done more then one skirmish run. If the soul crushing Seal drop rate in hamlet would leave me alone for a day or two i may be able to escape hamlet and do some skirmish for a while.

    For the amount of times i've helped save the hamlet you'd think they could be less stingy ><;

    Still looking forward to some skirmish'in

    Its fun, but i still have to argue about the "fuss free" battle content.

    8 people + 8 runs = everyone get one weapon
    100% drop and double drop with speed run is good enough

    chance isnt it? pretty sure it's not guaranteed double drop i've cleared some in under 20 mins and only seen 1 drop.

    I do quite like it and it is refreshing that it has a decent drop rate for once. take your shell to av do 4 or 5 runs get jack is kinda annoying at least 4 or 5 skirmishes is going to see 4or5+ weapons. alot of them arefairly evenly priced so even if its not the one you want you can sell it and get the one you want

    Except that it's not what you want. I have done 7 runs and not seeing what I want (Sword) so ended up buying it from MW. The CNJ/WHM staff seem to drop most frequent.

    Get off my back Kap. I made it perfectly clear what I thought "fuss free" battle content meant. Now after all the hype is over, you can stand in LL forever twiddling your thumbs for a party.
