This feels like another "Someone told me to kill the enemies instead of using Cure 1 (another equivalent would be /sit) at level 100"
bro just press art of war

Kneel before my mighty burger king crown!
And brush your teeth!
Using healing spells rather than abilities in an expert dungeon is unusual, and is exactly the kind of thing a mentor would be expected to comment on. It shouldn't be done in a rude or condescending way though, nor should advice be viewed as hostile by default.
Pretty much what others are saying, if you are GCD healing at lvl 100 either you or the Tank has wet the bed. At level 100 you have to be called out. Just don't be rude how you give the advice though.
This. There are many times I have to resort to gcd heals in roulettes, and anyone who claims never to have experienced must never or rarely heal.
No, it really doesn't need to be called out. OP stated they DPS as they felt comfortable. That's good enough for your basic roulette. No need to sit and nitpick and badger some random every roulette when they don't press everything to your liking.

Nobody likes mentors just because they're mentors. They like other friendly players who just happened to have a crown. When you really get down to it, it doesn't matter if he had a mentor crown or not. It was just an unpleasant player and those exist with and without Burger King crowns. A lot of people are simply doing it for the status and mount, with no intention of actually helping out players in a friendly manner. I'm sure there are a few players that take some pride in being a mentor for good reasons though.
As someone who literally just said this, skill issue. Expert dungeon mobs don't do enough damage to outdo a general rotation of oGCDs and CDs, and bosses don't output enough damage to threaten the tank. You have more than enough resources to handle people standing in bad, especially with how overloaded healer kits are now.
As said, needing to GCD heal an expert is a skill issue.
It entirely depends which healing spell it was.
If it was Benefic II/Cure II/E. Diagnosis/Adlo, it was out of line to call them out on it.
If it was Benefic/Cure/Diagnosis/Physick, the Healer was out of line for even using those spells to begin with.
A skill issue you may have no control over, such as the quality of your tank. And DPS I suppose, if they are very slow and don't burst things down quickly. As someone who literally just said this, skill issue.
