What exactly did they say. Because if you are offended they gave you good advice then you are the problem. Mentors are supposed to give advice, and fragile people unable to take any criticism is the reason barely any say anything.

You have to be specific about the exact phrasing they used and what they said, how do we know we aren't feeding your entitled ego of "no one can tell me anything" instead of being reasonable, only by posting receipts will we know if you are right or wrong/ Do not identify any players however.



And actually, they absolutely do need to justify and rationalize if they are going to put a title in their thread about how others should behave. People are allowed to question why they are being to told to do or not do something.

Not to people responding with "Hey I bet ur a healing bot" they certainly don't. It's a counterproductive discussion regardless. The best you can do either way is take their word for it or don't, outside of being provided a literal transcript it's useless.

Questioning is one thing, Conclusions resulting from skepticism is another entirely. For as many people as there are 'sensitive egos', there's just as many people that have an inability to express feedback

It was yuweyawata field station and I was't being a healing bot. Not that any of that makes it ok to badger anyone, let alone another mentor, about what they use duriing w2w trash pulls when their primary healsing spells are on cooldown.

Seems to me that both of you were right, if you're doing dps as a healer then you're on the right path and if you're making sure the party doesn't die then you're doing your job, it doesn't really matter how you go about that. On the other hand, the other mentor is right to say that you should be optimising (at your own pace), unfortunately optimising healing in this game is to optimise healing OUT of your play.

like some said depend on the spell you use but also did the tank use mitigation? what tank and so on because I once got blamed for not DPSing enough and the mentor was a DPS and I just said one thing.

if the tank would mitigate it would be easier to DPS.

but again no matter what you play for your fun and you play the way you want no one can change that no matter what people say efficient or not you play a multiplayer game for sure but so are they

Need more context and both sides of the story because sounds a bit sus for an expert dungeon. Just don't be a healing bot, the faster mobs die, the less you have to heal.

My guess would be one of those:

Ast: Suggestion among the lines of using Synastry first would allow them to reduce healing gcds, and keep up dps
Whm: They were using cure 2/medica 2 over lily spells, could be building for the blood lily
Sch: They were Adlo spamming instead of using the fairy tentacle plus soil, and, well any oGCD to keep using art of war
Sage: They were spamming eukrasian diagnosis instead of using haima and taurochole/kerachole

Any of those should be enough to keep up a tank alive trough a big pull if the tank is half decently rotating their mitigation

Otherwise they could have just waved it off saying "Im a bit undergeared, I understand too". But yeah without the specifics of what the other person was saying, and the gear the tank was wearing, its hard to tell if OP is at fault here or not

The Mentor thing simply doesn't work in the west like it does in Japan and that's not even counting all the people who have it on only for the crown to complement their bought Ultimate.

Using healing spells rather than abilities in an expert dungeon is unusual, and is exactly the kind of thing a mentor would be expected to comment on. It shouldn't be done in a rude or condescending way though, nor should advice be viewed as hostile by default.

Pretty much what others are saying, if you are GCD healing at lvl 100 either you or the Tank has wet the bed. At level 100 you have to be called out. Just don't be rude how you give the advice though.
