Where is the money going? Obviously not this game. I don't think thats even up for debate at this point. No matter what SE does to piss you off and make you unsub, your loss will be paid for by the whales that continue to fork over cash for shitty $300 statues with emotes tied to them, Overpriced Gacha merch, and store sets on the Mogstation. They're giving you a F2P experience considering the long content droughts, and you're even paying monthly to participate in it. This is the future of FFXIV.

So for a better perspective: At an estimated 1,150,643 subs at that lowball estimate of $10.99 (just to offset some of the free2play a bit), that's loosely around $12,645,566.57 per month and around $151,746,798.84 a year, and that's not including any higher sub prices, retainer add ons, or store revenue. Possibly a more realistic sum then! That's still a lot of money to potentially filter off to some other projects, maybe just even with item store alone...which we'll never know how much they make off that. ^_^;

yeah they use all of XIV's money to pay for their projects because they think that it's too big to fail so they think it's fine to neglect it and use the funds to make things that end up flopping

FF14 is the only gold shoveling horse SE has. The fact they can neglect us is because it simply wont die. You won't believe how many die hards there are in this game that would still pay their sub even if everything went to shit.

Had a discussion with a friend that somehow turned around every argument I had that made the game bad in good believes saying "the devs are working on it, but thats hard to do, just give them more time" bro they had so much time already, dawntrail is no excuse for the state of the game lol
