SE,
Once some of the dated recipes go, its going to get pretty expensive to spiritbond certain slots, so are there any plans to add new cheaper recipes with items that have low stats used for spiribtonding purposes?

Then materia prices will just goes up.
I don't think you're completely understanding what OP has mentioned. This explanation should give the suggestion some clarity.
Dated Tarred Voyager's Belts and Raptorskin Satchel Belts are both level 45 items that are suitable for all classes.
On my server, currently:
Dated Tarred Voyager's Belt: 12k
Raptorskin Satchel Belt: 40k
Obviously, a vast majority of spiritbonders use Dated Tarred Voyager's Belts because of their low material cost and wide availability.
Now, imagine a situation where Dated Tarred Voyager's Belts are suddenly removed because they are a 'dated' item. Demand for Raptorskin Satchel Belts will be through the roof, and along with it the price of desirable materia such as Heaven's Eye IV. What do you think will happen to materia prices then? The mere thought of having even less Heaven's Eye IV available gives me shivers. It's not simply 'prices will go up'.
To the OP, I assume dated recipes will be removed with the commencement of 2.0 and at this time new recipes will be added that may be low-cost and widely available. This is a very good suggestion and I hope SE has considered this.

Raptorskin Satchel Belt: Raptor Leather, Electrum Ingot, Woolen Yarn
All things you can get from crafting leves if you have the right crafting job on the right level. Very cheap to get.
Raptorskin satchel belts are freakin easy to make and the materials are easy to get. People will just switch over to whatever is the easiest alternative, both suppliers and buyers.
It's the only slot I currently use dated items for spiritbonding.
This is what I see happening. The supply for new recipes will increase, people will undercut each other, and they'll become cheaper.
The real trick i think is 'Optimal Level' VS 'Required Level'.
with 'Optimal Level' gear, i can, and did start spirit-bonding 41+ gear from level 1.
with 'Required Level' gear ... you can't get high grade materia till you are the proper level.
In any case, i've made over 900 items from spirit-bond since the system was implemented.
If not for optimal level gear, i would be half that far at best.

Make it happen.
Good point. While there is a good amount of newer recipe optimal level gear, not many pieces of the higher level gear can actually be worn by all classes, and that's where the discrepancy is. I feel that dated gear should just go away regardless, but that's another topic. The real trick i think is 'Optimal Level' VS 'Required Level'.

The demand is there for the dated recipes now, which is why the none dated, possible full time gear is high, people but them once for their job, and no more, so less people make them. The gear people use for SB will be in higher demand, so more people make them, thus increasing competition and lowering prices.
Now when dated recipes are gone, people will make the lowest cost item needed to maximize profit, people will cotton on to this and more people make them and therefore prices will drop because of the competition, overall it will not be much of a problem
