From what I know, LOTRO is still going strong with new expansions and big enough playerbase I haven't touched it in last 2 years though.

And just to clarify - FFXIV is not a bad game overall by any means! Just for me personally it is not exactly what I'm looking for in the game, hence the decision to close the subscription. I'm more than happy that there are people who play and have fun, of course and I'm not entitled enough to go and say "mmmhmmm, I don't like this and this so it's a bad game"
