I'd love if for killing each individual hunt 1,000 times it gives you a mount of it. I mean there are so many good looking hunts that would make great mounts. I don't like RNG so a fixed grind is preferred. But I don't see how this would fix FFXIV at all as there are already lots of things to grind from hunts, including mounts. And lots of grinds generally (just that people on these forums don't care about, so why would they care for more hunt mount grinds).

Holiday events being better would be good, but given they only happen occasionally, I also don't see how that would "fix" the game.

As for systems, do you mean that just because WoW's systems are more complex, that they are better? FFXIV has long taken a simple is better approach - in fact, that is what differentiated it from other MMORPGs and gave it a unique selling point. How simplistic and easy it was ie. teleport everywhere to reduce travel tedium, killing only 3 enemies for quests, dungeons take 20 minutes or less, raid prep is just "buy it all off the market board", etc.

So FFXIV's simple system is intentional. If they wanted complex systems, they'd just copy and paste FF11 (like they began to with 1.0 and we know how that went, and like they tried to with Eureka which was received poorly on these forums at the time). It was the problems with 1.0 that led us to where we are with less tedious systems. Teleporting everywhere was in response to criticism of having to run everywhere and it costing a lot of finite resources, etc.

As a WoW Mount farmer, that 1% drop rate on mounts can stay far far far far FAAAAAAAAAAR away from FF14. We're nearing 15 years of farming Baron Rivendare's Deathcharger and not getting it.

While the Transmog system has some better things to it than the FF14 Glamour system the Glamour system has some better things than the WoW system. Being able to Dye gear is a HUGE bonus over WoW's system where matching gear from different sets can be absolute hell. And for all the crap SE gets over Hrothgar and Viera hats... Dracthyr only being able to tmog belts, shoulders, and weapons says hello. Would a journal system be nice? Yes. Is it possible? Who knows. The Devs have mentioned they want that but are struggling with implementing it. Then again, the average FF14 character has to carry more information than the average WoW character because we can be every single class in the game on one. It's why most storage methods are on load not always accessible.

I would also like to point out that WoW's systems in many cases are more refined BECAUSE WoW is older, they've had more time to perfect. Anyone remember Void Storage that was used for Tmog originally? I do. It was essentially a worse version of the Glamour Dresser. This also doesn't even begin to cover the fact that Blizzard continues to try and reinvent the wheel every single expac which culminated in Systemlands (Shadowlands).

Is FF14 perfect? No. But saying they can fix it by just stealing things without understanding that there's a huge difference between what is under the hood is a bit much.

I would personally love to see more open world stuff. Being able to explore dungeon areas without a time limit and stuff would be nice too and I will admit in many ways the WoW world is more immersive because there are more nooks and crannies to get into that I would love to see come more into FF with less invisible walls stopping that.

I quit WoW seven years ago and I still think I could run Stratholme in my sleep. And Sethekk Halls Heroic. And half a dozen more. I did actually get Rivendare's Deathcharger eventually, but I never saw the Raven Lord.

It's funny to me when people think a low drop rate makes content better, when it really just turns it into a dull grind.
