its time to get ride of it, its just complete trash. we have been saying since it came out how to fix it but are just completely ignored. I wish i could just disable the entire thing now. im tired of the error message reverting to default every time i change gear and adding a extra window pop was so stupid.

The extra window popup is to ensure that your current saved gearset is reflected in the portrait to prevent those errors

I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure there's a setting that lets you turn off the pop-up.

I still really want a checkbox option of "use this as my portrait everywhere, all the time."

I don't really want my portrait to change with variations on my class, or my equipped equipment, or my current glamour being different. That behaviour still seems like it should be an option, rather than the default.

Its quite literally one of the 4 buttons on the pop up

Accept, cancel, the X to close the pop-up, and the checkbox to toggle the pop-up off entirely

Portraits are good and fun. There is, of course, always room for improvement.
