I'd love if for killing each individual hunt 1,000 times it gives you a mount of it. I mean there are so many good looking hunts that would make great mounts. I don't like RNG so a fixed grind is preferred. But I don't see how this would fix FFXIV at all as there are already lots of things to grind from hunts, including mounts. Holiday events being better would be good, but given they only happen occasionally, I also don't see how that would "fix" the game.
As for systems, do you mean that just because WoW's systems are more complex, that they are better? FFXIV has long taken a simple is better approach - in fact, that is what differentiated it from other MMORPGs and gave it a unique selling point. How simplistic and easy it was ie. teleport everywhere to reduce travel tedium, killing only 3 enemies for quests, dungeons take 20 minutes or less, raid prep is just "buy it all off the market board", etc.
So FFXIV's simple system is intentional. If they wanted complex systems, they'd just copy and paste FF11 (like they began to with 1.0 and we know how that went, and like they tried to with Eureka which was received poorly on these forums at the time). It was the problems with 1.0 that led us to where we are with less tedious systems. Teleporting everywhere was in response to criticism of having to run everywhere and it costing a lot of finite resources, etc.
