    There is a variety of content, the variety of the content is not the problem, it is the lack of repeatability of the content that is the issue. It's a once and done thing, then maybe you go back for daily or weekly duties, e.g., roulettes, or Island Sanctuary workshop. Longstanding casual players actually have very little to actively do.

    Now let's get on the boredom comment.. This is just as much of an issue as anything else you could mention, as boredom stems from multiple areas, inc., lack of repeatability or substance. There is only so long you can do Island Sanctuary for before you come to the stark realization that it is a daily simulator.

    Now, nobody expects everything to be interesting, and nor do they expect for that boredom aspect to actually be removed, but they absolutely don't even try to make it interesting or make it repeatable. But hey, look on the bright-side at least the game is getting more bloated visual effects.

    Agreed on all points I'm reading in here, and feeling the content drought. Now that I finished 7.1 on my main, it's like....what's left to do but the same ol' gear grind content? And the rewards! Even the materia is trash level as a quest reward. Been playing since 2016 and it somehow feels like it's gotten longer and longer between things....and the MSQ or regular dungeon rewards are just awful.

    And SE - Please give us some less repeaty/rehash DF ad infinitum run stuff, or maybe more landscape things other than the same fates...this might keep people engaged and motivated. What about special fates for gatherers, where if you get gold tier level, you get one special crafting mat to use? And please no more of the non queque-able stuff like BLU either? I'm not really interested in a class (that isn't a class really), that has zero purpose other than leveling them up in a circus ring, just to have them stay parked until new spells/skills come out either. u_u

    I would have both as an option. Everything up to and including the boss and have a wall, this would be savage.

    Nightmare mode is there are no walls period, you could pull from start to finish.

    Both modes would not be tuned any differently than the normal runs. The would save on dev time. I figure having several dozen monsters and bosses should make it hard enough on its own.

    Rewards would be based upon how much you pull, if sync is used, etc.

    To the final wall with it all would be only a title when synced.

    This would also allow for some clutch saves and mayhem, you could pull it all and train some off, using kiting to remove mobs, etc.

    It’s all existing assets, just no walls, no rules, it’s a nightmare our own making and we get rewarded if we survive.

    Could be double tomes, more loot, rare loot, random raid tokens, etc. I would also have a bad luck system that you get tokens to spend on that one item that just won’t drop.

    I'll give a shoutout to Variant Dungeons. I think those are legitimately fun. I think we need to see more of that thought process in casual content, though.

    Another damning problem is the slightly longer time between patches, though. That seriously adds up and doubly so when the content given hasn't felt particularly worth the extra delay. I think people understood back during the pandemic because that was a shitshow for everyone, but now something has to give--either in terms of time or returns.
