    Dark Knight Simple yet effective buff idea

    Hello there, I like to give a simple suggestions for buffing DK to give him a more flow rotations and increase the overall DPS if possible. The last changes was very good, but I like to see some increase on damage overall, big swords should bring big damages right?
    1. Flood of Darkness - MP Cost from 3000 to 2000.
    2. Edge of Darkness - MP Cost from 3000 to 2000.
    3. Abyssal Drain - CR reduces from 60s to 30s or 20s.
    4. Carve and Spit - CR reduces from 60s to 30s or 20s.

    Please increase MP generation instead of reducing MP costs. I'd rather not have to cram 2-3 extra Edges into each 20s raid window.
    Also, DRK already leads in aDPS and cDPS, the only damage stats really relevant to tanks in group content (since none of them have damage buffs, only differing use of others' damage buffs, for which said exploitation does matter as much as any difference in raw personal damage).

    I'd gladly take the proportionate deserved nerf for that increased MP regen, though. (And I'd prefer the increase not be from a CD like Delirium/Blood Weapon alone.)

    The literal last thing DRK needs right now is more damage

    As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.

    I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess

    Or better mana management, at least if the same change doesn't remove the CD from TBN or so. I mean all I'd use that extra mana for is more oGCD damage casts, which like you say, is quite literally the least-helpful buff you could give DRKs right now.

    Just give back the two Bloodweapon stacks that were taken from us. The -1200MP and -20 Blood per minute had no reason to be, especially since Delirium still generates two different buffs with separate buff stacks anyways.

    I'm fine with having my damage adjusted accordingly for this to happen.

    While I like the idea of making its APM higher, but It doesn't need a damage buff Dark knight out performs other tanks currently due to how burst windows work.

    Or, the MP regen is 800 instead of the current 600.... Way more simple and more effective.

    I'd go a step further:

    * Remove the mana cost from Darkness skills entirely.
    * Give them a CD instead.
    * Make them stronger.
    * Make TBN not have a CD in itself.
    * On using TBN, you give yourself a 15s debuff that prevents using TBN again.
    * TBN then auto-combos into a button that removes this debuff, with a scaled manacost based on the remaining duration on it.
    * As now, depleting TBN gives a free Darkness use, in this case it instantly resets the CD.

    The idea would then be that our mana is entirely for TBN, but depending on income we can go wild chaining TBN usage.

    The design of dark knight in FFXIV since the patch it was introduced is that it can choose to spend MP on damage or defenses. You might as well remove the job from the game if you remove the MP from the darkness spells. If you want that job, play warrior.

    Return BW to 5 stacks
    Make BW restore 1k instead of 600
    Lower the CD of Delirium/BW

    Lots of ways to go about it, but I doubt it'll be seen as an issue seeing as DRK is the #1 tank at the moment.
