Yoshi, Please Stop Killing Roegadyns

I’ve had enough. This was overdue. I’ll be vague as to the where and when’s for the sake of spoilers, but for a while now, I’ve noticed a consistent pattern that wheneeeeever one of my roegadyn or roegadame peoples pops up, death follows closely. I’ve grown vexed at having my strapping brothers and sisters bear the weight of your intrepid tales as emotional cannon fodder, as if we were the red shirts of your rpic Enterprise, the ill fated commanders of your Deathstar. Balance is required.

I don’t mean to point fingers, but you have so many other creative options. Billions of FAT lil lala’s just BEGGING to be on food platters (no, seriously, look at the names. ‘Tater tot, Evil Pickles, Mini Bites, etc) Elezen ears to snip off. 4 ENTIRE species of kitties to neuter, and don’t even get me started on the lizards whose tails grow back and the bunnies who can just repopulate in 2 days cuz they’re like, bunnies, anyway.

So the next time one of your writers is typing away late into the night and gets the idea to off one of my already painfully limited species, have a little insight to think that maybe, juuuust maybe, another of Eorzea’s denizens MIGHT just enjoy that prestigious privilege. Ain’t mad atcha, juuuust sayin’.

When was the last time a roegadyn died in the MSQ? Grynewaht in Stormblood? Do you count Cagnazzo in Endwalker?
The other recent roegadyn characters in the MSQ all live, as far as I remember. Even those who are remarked to be old, sick, wounded, etc.

I've never noticed Roegadyn being any more likely to be killed off than anyone else. Pretty sure the last named one to die was Grynewaht. Unless you count Branden/Blaenherz, but the Warriors of Darkness were technically already dead before we met them, so that one's complicated.

The Explorer guy that we hear about and see in DT (Srsly cant recall his friggen name atm) even gets a fake out death when "Someone" Ambushes him in Yaktel and we hear a sharp slash sound effect.

He's totally fine next time we see him, and he even comes ready to fight lmao
