    Savage Raid Direct Weapon Drops

    It is incredibly frustrating to re-clear M4 Savage and the only weapons that drop directly are for Jobs not present in the party. Personally, I think the direct drop system is ineffective at distributing desired weapons to players and unfair in that it enables 1 player to hoard all of the loot based purely on random chance. Weapons should be exclusively distributed through coffers; having a maximum of 2 coffers in the chest and players limited to receiving 1 coffer per week, with the number of coffers being reduced along the current reduced loot rules for mixed reward claimed status parties.

    This way, guaranteed, at least 2 people in every fully eligible party will receive a weapon they actually want, instead of seeing the same weapons that no one in the party needs over and over again, week after week.

    Or you could view the direct weapon drop as a bonus of sorts in addition to the guaranteed useful weapon coffer. If it happens to drop for a class that's in the raid, awesome. If not, give it to highest roll, or better yet, someone who will actually play that class as an alt.

    The coffers used to not be a thing, by the way. All the savage loot was direct drops and if you happened to not be running, say, a phys ranged, and aiming gear dropped off A6S, your group was just out of luck.

    They've taken so many steps to make getting loot easier. There's no other game I raided in where I was pretty much guaranteed a drop. If not a drop directly from the boss, but a weekly token that I could use to turn it to get whatever I want in case my luck was bad.

    One thing I'd add to this is to make an exception to allow someone to get both weapon coffers in the case of lootmaster or if everyone else leaves the instance except one person. For the rare scenarios like mercenary runs or in a static and no one else needs the weapon coffers except one person.

    This ain't it. People really ungrateful with how the loot system works in this game. You already get a guaranteed useful weapon coffer drop and a bonus weapon along side it.

    The real issue is loot lockouts last way too long in this game. There's no reason for a weekly lockout to still exist beyond the savage tier's patch content. For some reason we get "catch up" gear in the alliance raids between patches. But this gear doesn't catch you up to anything. No group is going to let you into the ultimate with it, it's not needed for savage as there's no real gear check needed for savage (especially current tier). And AR gear also has the weekly lockout. So if you gear it for savage in order to get savage gear you're actually putting in more work and time.

    This weekly lockout needs to be re-evaluated imo.
