Earned PVP Gear Should be Salvageable

This may be an issue that falls under glamour as well, but now that the Outfit Glamour Creation/Glamour-Ready sets have been implemented, I wanted to go consolidate my outfits.

On my Viera character, I earned the Fierce Tyrant's set from the previous pvp series back in May. The helm isn't wearable by Viera and even if it was, I probably wouldn't use it. So I tossed it thinking I could pick it back up like Garo gear if I ever really wanted it.

Now I want it back JUST so I can store the other 4 items of the set more efficiently but I can't do that without the helm and I didn't know pvp sets wouldn't show up at the calamity salvager!

I understand this is an oversight on my part, but I didn't know how this upcoming glam system would work and I'm also kind of shocked that this limited gear that I earned isn't salvageable. I think you should be allowed to retrieve it yourself if you've unlocked it just like any old event gear.

    Use 1-item restoration.

I have a whole retainer of ranked PvP gear now, with hellhound weapons and few accesoirces from events or deep dungeons. If you add relics and ultimate weapons, then you have like 20-40% of your glam dresser capacity filled with items you cant delete without getting them back easily or at all. Never was a friend of the system, it seems like a bandaid when what everyone wants is a skin log to unlock and be done with it.

You can get replica of your relics for 1000 gils, if your only interest is the glamour it gives. No need to keep them if you lack space.

But the OP is right that earned special pvp gear should be in the calamity salvager... It's something that SE could probably fix easily.

I don't think they can put things in the Salvager without having an achievement tied to it, but I could see a reclaim system working by doing item trade-ins: hand in one piece of the set and receive a new complete coffer. The gear is untradable so it isn't going to be exploited.

Yeah, just like to keep some for lvl70 ultimates for example.

Little known fact is, that the gold saucer fashion report has a pants requirement that can also be fulfilled with ranked PvP gear of season 1. I bet nobody besides me tried that yet. So PvP gear can actually be useful and should be accessible easily again for such events too lol. Kinda crazy that a dev included it in the list that give gold in fashion report.

I think they can. Think of promotional items, CE items, moogle event items, or well - cashshop. I think the issue is probably the storage. In whatever weird ways the engine works, they probably put a limit on it for a reason. And 100 PvP players per datacenter did never seem important enough to get it. But now it may be different, because there are too many items that are obtained by so many players.
