Recommended Gear tool vs Brand-New Ring/Neophyte's Ring

Date & Time: first noticed 11/25/24, 4:45 PM EST
    Frequency: whenever I check
    World name: Sargatanas
    Character name: Boadicea Iceni
    Retainer name: n/a
    NPC name: n/a
    Monster name:n/a
    Class/Level: Thaumaturge 1-30, BLM 31, AST 46, PCT 82, RDM 91, SMN 84
    Party or solo: solo
    In-game time: n/a
    Area and coordinates: any
    Housing: n/a

    ■Steps:
    1. Use "Recommended Gear" tool
    2. Tool recommends that Brand-new Ring be unequipped and no ring be worn in that slot.
    3. If accepted, the next time "Recommended Gear" tool it recommends that Brand-new Ring be re-equipped in the same slot.
    4. Bug repeats every time "Recommended Gear" tool is used.
    5. Bug repeats if ring is moved to a different hand.

**only occurs if other hand has Neophyte's Ring equipped, and only on caster class/job, though NOT on Blue Mage. If there is a crafter/gatherer ring available, the tool will recommend that, only to switch back on next try.

I have tried this on both Windows and PS5 platforms with the exact same result, so did not include system information as it would not be relevant.

In my experience, this bug only happens if the Neophyte ring is on the Right Ring slot. If it's on left, it functions normally.

You are correct! I thought I had tested it with rings reversed but it's not doing it now so will strike that part
