Lodestone character image enabled headgear by itself

After 7.1, I noticed that one of my character's icons had changed in the lodestone to display headgear that I disabled in game. I checked in the game cilent but my character isn't shown to be wearing the headgear on the character select screen.
I haven't logged into the character for a few weeks or enabled the display headgear option so the Lodestone shouldn't have updated it to show it. I also confirmed if any suspicious logins had taken place but they were only from me (the headgear is hidden in game as intended anyway).

I think that's been a bug with the Lodestone (and forum too) for quite a few years now that SE has never fixed, as I noticed my character has had that happen to them too ages ago when I was using the Adamantite Helm of Fending for my PLD glamour which I was usually keeping hidden, only to suddenly see them shown with it on my forum avatar - I found regularly switching headgear display in game on and then off again every few weeks or so corrects it and/or prevents it from happening.

Either way, it is annoying but I haven't seen SE mention it in the past so they might not be aware of it.

With the introduction of glamour plates and portraits, it has become much more practical to just add the Emperor's New Hat to your outfit rather than using the visibility toggle. It's particularly useful if you tend to switch between multiple glamours for the same gearset and some include headgear but others don't.

Plus, the recent introduction of "outfits" means it's basically free to have all the Emperor gear in your dresser – one slot for all nine gear pieces.
