Sounds like you've discussed the repetitive masochism of the relic weapons. What a terrible system they created.Hello. I'm a mouse! Every day, at feeding time, I'm given two choices:
1) I can try to solve a really difficult maze that I've never seen before. At the end is a button. When I press this button, I get a food pellet. 100% guaranteed!
2) I can press a different button, that also gives me a food pellet. This button is in the same room as me already. I don't have to go anywhere! However, the button doesn't work very well. Maybe 0.01% of the time, it will give me a food pellet. So, I have to push it a lot to make it work!
I always pick option 2! I love mindless, repetitive tasks that give me eventual, marginal rewards. I swell with pride and a sense of real accomplishment every time that food pellet comes out. It's a real challenge, pressing that button!
I hate doing anything difficult. I don't think mice should be rewarded for thinking, or solving mazes, or anything like that. Maybe after they solve the maze 10,000 times, maybe then they could get a reward. I really want them to show how much they are willing to sacrifice to get a food pellet. It will be hollow and meaningless otherwise!
Reward progression and that's all I need.
How dare you defy me. How dare you play so coy in your analogy to ridicule Eisen Irrer Gramul.Hello. I'm a mouse! Every day, at feeding time, I'm given two choices:

You have made a powerful enemy this day cat.
But really. Primal weapons are hardly marginal rewards. The idea is to make it diffucult for you to get these things, and testing your ability to endure is one of the ways they can do it. Let me be clear that I don't like the random totem drop. I'd rather they be a gaurentee, and the weapon drops be a 5%.
A large amount of content is obviously what we all want, but it can't just appear all at once. That's why we had these poor drop rates. That's why Garuda's totem drops are gaurenteed. We get more content, we don't need to inflate the time and commitment for the content we have. It's an unsound fear if you look at what Square has been doing with the content as it has popped up.
Would you rather be done with the game in a month? How else would you have them keep you playing? We don't have PVP yet, people hate grinding, and even that takes less time than it has, and you don't want to keep fighting the bosses. Without the amount of things to do in other MMO's yet, they need a timesink with a carrot on the end.
In short, don't worry, I doubt they'll stick with the overly random stuff forever.
Now now, don't go getting all Shapiro. Besides, I'm not judging. A good many rainy Sundays I spent mashing buttons for 6 hrs. I am not one to declare how others waste their time to be any business of mine. If they enjoy it, all the power to them. Running the same three dungeons hundreds of times is not an attempt to please power gamers any more than it is an attempt to alienate casuals though. It is quite simply a side solution to a lack of content. I am not going to lay all this at the feet of the Devs either. We players are notorious for min/ maxing and reducing everything to the 3 most effective dungeons, ignoring everything else and grinding the shit out of those 3 most effective dungeons.
Not all grind is bad either. I just got done a 12 hr shift at work, I will log in to FF for 2 hrs before I go to bed, to get up and put in another 12 hr shift. It's nice to know all I am expected to do is mash enter for 2 hrs and I will have a level in Weaver. I don't need to think, I don't need to jump through hoops. I am just going to mash enter. When my day off comes though, I would prefer something more. FF doesn't have that something more right now. RnG wars with 3 dungeons isn't that something more. I'd think a power gamer would be happy to encourage more content over bull dogging it.
I must agree with OP.
I got 5 ifrit weapons and even one repeat, while some people that have come to every single run with me are still waiting on a single drop. It makes me wish I could give them some.
We'll take it into consideration.™
I wish I could give them to people too, but lets be honest. It would be totally broken if we could pass our weapons to other people. Especially since we each get our own loot chest.
As for everyone complaining, welcome to the life of RNG. Some get lucky, some dont. Nothing you can really do about that. You will find the same results in other games. You all seem to be complaining over something that really cant be controlled. Unless of course you want to increase the drop rate which would ruin the game. We have no challenge in this game as it is, we don't need it to be any easier just bec a few people have bad luck. Just get over it and keep trying or quit, all up to you really.
Or you could start praying to the RNG gods, I hear that works for some people.

First off there is no endgame content is FFXIV, and thats due to the fact that the end level is not yet avaiable to level to yet. Now if you call ifrit, moogle and garuda endgame than theres a problem considering the fight is so short and that there is no meat to it. Even the dungons are a joke this is not end game and there wont be REAL endgame till the DEV's cap players at either 75 or 99.Welp! I feel the urge of giving my opinion on this matter. It is important to know and understand that not all players feel the same way as you guys do, and infact the drop rates are REALLY good if you compare to most MMORPG's were you need to farm for months to get 1 item that is only slightly better than what you can buy.
But anyways, not going to talk about other games. However I do feel the drop rates here are way too good, more then it should be. And the reason for me to say this is because I have only been playing for 3 months and half, and have gotten almost all in this game. It feels like there is no reward in this game since there arent any items that you can get and show off since almost everyone on the server has them (even relics are seen very often now). And whats even worse, you dont need any of the end game content because you can do everything in this game with just AF and a regular level 50 weapon. To me this makes it like there is no reason for me to keep playing since there is so little left for me to do.
Dont get me wrong, I dont like farming the same enemy for a whole month to just get 1 item. However I do think the difficulty on these enemies is way to easy which makes it really easy to obtain all items. To summarize my opinion on this is to keep the current drop rates, and increase the end game difficulty.
So you have everything in game so far? I highly doubt you have every piece of darklight gear. I have been farming that since it came out and have yet to get every piece of darklight. Now ifrit moogle and garuda isnt too hard to get 7/7 for a total of 21/21.
idk if a working brain give you better drop and yes we know your focus is ifrit and moogle but it old news, i think SE done enough on those for drop so stuff + grow up
Oh dear. Another one of these threads.
Hello, if you're reading this, then you should know this isn't part of the post.
