Issue with Audio Volume/Listening Position

Okay, here's something that worked for me (on Windows):
1. Go to Windows Setting -> Sound
2. Find the output device you're using and click on it
3. At the bottom you'll find Audio enhancements in the Advanced settings, turn this off (mine was previously on "Device Default Effects")
4. Enjoy

It does make ambient sounds and sound effects louder though, so you might mant to tune them down a bit.
