STUCK unable to complete DC travel request

Hi, i was visiting Crystal DC and when i tried to 'return to home world' the timer went to 5min then i got an error message, then the game shut down. now when i try to log back in if i select 'start game' OR choose a DC (either the one i was visiting, OR home) i just get the same error message and the game shuts down. i cant get to character select screen.

error message reads:
unable to complete DC travel request. if your character is not listed in the target DC, please wait a few moments before trying again.

have attempted several times, still nothing. is this a known issue? is there anything i can do to troubleshoot? thanks in advance.

so following the advice of old forum posts i cleared my FFXIV config file. Which accomplished little, but it has changed the error message (from error 505 to 3084).

6 hours in and by the looks of things there is no CS at Square on the weekends...

open to suggestions, if anyone is reading this thread.

update.

Day 2.. ive followed any and all suggestions mentioned in past posts and any similar reports ive seen on Reddit. clean boot, different networks (including a cellular hotspot). Error 3084 persists. Even did a fresh install on a PS5 (i play on PC) and still the same error. this is clearly a server side issue.

There were a few users in old forum posts that reported that a Maintenance cycle solved their issue so i guess im hoping for the same. Generally speaking what DOES happen to travelling characters during maintenance?

I'm also stuck in limbo. Went to Dynamis > Aether, then Dynamis > Primal and cannot log back in at all. I can't even return to Seraph...

i went to crystal for 10min to save 500k on a barding... worst choice ever. when you log in are you getting an error after clicking 'start game'? whats the error #?

I have the same error you have, the 505 one. I use the Steam Deck and I haven't tried logging in on my PS4 yet. I was getting something off the marketboard and wanted to do pvp :'( I just had my sub renewed a few days ago so I hope they have it fixed soon...

I managed to log in a few hours later and everything is fine on both platforms now.
