It reminds me a lot of the most disastrous WoW expansions, where there was maybe an hour of content per week(less in some) if you weren't doing mythic raiding and high rank mythic+(basically extreme or savage dungeons, albeit with actual rewards).Unless you engage in high-end content (Savage, or Ultimate) or actively farm achievements for the sake of achievement hunting / dopamine (which even then...?), the game really doesn't offer much in the way of longstanding goals when it backloads a lot of the longstanding content. Casual players for instance are waiting a good 1/1.5 year post-expansion before getting any actual content which has long-standing goals.
Now I am not going to say this game doesn't have any content as it does, but what I am going to say, it is absolutely disgusting that a segment of the player base (and no small number by any measure) has to wait for well over a year before getting any long-term goals, e.g., relics, and I say this knowing the fact it is not just that subset of the community that is impacted by it.
People should not be required to engage in certain content, but the developers should realistically be developing content equally across all spaces of the community. Currently, they are not doing this, and it is not healthy because they are constantly yoyoing between which segments of the player base they wanted to appease, with very little in regarding to having actual stability.
