Petition to fix Miqo'te Face 2 Eyebrows

I'm running an alt through ShB and have concluded SE is just really bad at eyebrows. Emet-Selch, for example, looks quite ridiculous most of the time, and not because of the shoulder pads.

Meanwhile many Miqo'tes look like someone just stepped on their tail.

Some eyebrows are definitely more well done than others. I think it's a bit strange that even now, some faces' eyebrows seem more detailed than others? Maybe that's just because (other than this face) they tried to keep the same shape as before, even if that shape was simple or choppy.

As weird as it may sound, I think the original eyebrows of this face were actually one of the main deciding factors for me choosing it. I wanted a Miqo'te, but didn't like the choppy look of Faces 1 and 3, and Face 4 was a little too wild and bushy. But this one looked natural, and was just right.

7.2 has arrived, and our eyebrows still haven't even been touched.

To say this is disappointing would be an understatement. This is embarrassing, both for us to have to look like this, and for you, SE. A simple mapping error, that was allowed to make it into 7.0, and that we've been stuck with for 9 months and counting.

There is no argument to defend the decision to keep these eyebrows like this. You have had plenty of time, 2 patches that give Fantasias to accommodate for supposed changes in appearance, the current shape of these were based on a mistake, it looks terrible, and I have yet to actually hear of a single person that prefers these specific eyebrows looking like this instead of how they used to be shaped.
There is no individuality in the separate eyebrow options of this face like there used to be, they are just all sharp and harsh and angry. If I wanted an angry or "determined" look, I'd have chosen one of the more dramatic eyebrow options or just used an emote at appropriate times, as is common sense.


It would've been really nice to have a more positive update, with screenshots of actual changes that we've been asking for all this time. Unfortunately, we have to keep pushing for this to be fixed. Please share this petition with anyone who may add their support, or help draw attention to how awful of a downgrade this feature is from how it used to look.

I'm genuinely beyond annoyed. I do not wish to keep playing further, because they took away my character and refuse to simply fix an issue. I cannot fathom why. It IS a bug. It IS NOT INTENDED.
And yet they refuse to fix it even though they clearly noticed it. Why? There is not a single reason not to adress this bug.

Do we have to poorly google translate this post to kanji to get this at all noticed by devs?

I've tried to get used to the brows as much as possible but looking back on old photos of my character makes me so sad. Why did they have to designate face 2 as the "angry-looking" face? We deserve to have cute and delicate curved brow shapes too...

They didn't designate it the angry face. They messed when updating the models and never fixed it. Face 2 was never meant to be permanently angry with plucked eyebrows!

And for whatever reason, they labeled all the bug reports made on it as "Working as Intended". I still feel as though they didn't actually READ through them to see that there is a difference between the graphics update changes, and the bugged texture maps that were a mistake from the beginning. It's frustrating, and we deserve to be acknowledged on our requests for both issues to be addressed.

So, side tangent, but isn't Yanaa (Black Cat) a custom/unique NPC model of face 2? I want those eyebrows... Ours are so depressing in comparison...

Hard to tell since she's so modified... but that could be the case. With her own custom features added, of course, that had significantly more care put into them than our own.
