my only hope for the mobile port is that the chinese devs can fix the spaghetti code in a way that it can translate to the normal game, like letting us have a glam dresser in our houses and stuff.
The real mobile gaming is using a smartphone stand or one of those controllers you can insert your mobile phone into with a lil keyboard.. at which why not keep using a pc?
xd!!!! It's called an adapter from USB to USB C. Is there anything else that is actually stopping you?I don't think there is any feature that can be implemented that would make me get over the annoyance of having to use my fingers to play instead of a precise mouse and keyboard setup. It's not a choice, I'm just too millenial to deal with that. Like, what even is this?? They make fingersocks now.
Having fewer buttons to press is a plus in my view. And I've been playing XIV since 1.0.
The idea that more buttons = more complex has always been such a ooga-booga take. 4 or 5 is too little though.
Anyway I wouldn't move over. Mobile gaming is garbage. And I haven't owned a house in over 4 years. Let mine go and never looked back. Not worth being forced to sub every other month over.
Yeah!!!! I can’t wait to have the entirety of my job’s capabilities condensed into a single easy to use button!Having fewer buttons to press is a plus in my view. And I've been playing XIV since 1.0.

Oh but maybe they should add auto-battle so I don’t have to presss that one button over and over again. How fun and engaging! It’s playing itself and somehow that means I’m playing it!!!!

Would be extremely funny if it used the ARR era versions of jobs. I prefer some of those to now lol
It doesn't have Zenos so automatic no.
Jokes aside...
Just no, tho I find it funny that everyone would get a house, I doubt the devs would hear the end of it which is good.
Not really as like you just said it looks like they remade every part of the game that could include stripping away areas, dungeons quests etc that was also in ARR.Based on everything I've seen of it, and it's a lot, they've remade just about every aspect of the game.
I think their main excuse that they've kept using is server load as to the reason we can't have more houses. But at the same time they contradict themselves i.e with retainers they have said they cant give us more than 2 because of server load BUT everyone can have the ability to buy more lol
Well yes, both those things are true. Not really as like you just said it looks like they remade every part of the game that could include stripping away areas, dungeons quests etc that was also in ARR.

But it doesn't change the fact that SE has struggled to do something for 11 years that an online MOBILE game (which happens to be a remake of the same game) is probably going to achieve. If it does, it'll show that when other developers are faced with the exact same challenge making the exact same game, they don't have this issue.
It remains to be seen if they will have restrictions on it in a similar fashion, but I just have a feeling they won't have these issues unless SE forces them to so that it doesn't raise questions.
Though I don't like to be critical, this is an obvious issue they've had plenty of time (11 years) and opportunity (Island Sanctuary, apartments) to solve and not done so. So I just can't help but point out the irony that a mobile game may potentially do it before they can.
You know what? It'll probably work better and not need glitches. Apparently they've been working on it for 5 years, which is a lot longer than SE had for ARR.
