PS3 Controller Keypad

I'm currently playing FFXIV on PC and was looking to make the transition to the PS3 version when it comes out.

I was wondering if anyone has ever used this Keypad add-on for the PS3 controller? Thoughts?

It will probably be better than moving your hands from gamepad to keyboard anytime you want to talk.
I guess the only drawback is that the buttons are sorta small. I doubt many have it seeing as must just use voice chat on the PS3.

I rather just use a keyboard.. would be a lot faster for me atleast using the keyboard over that thing. If you don't want to use a keyboard, i suppose that is the controller to go with.

Would you be able able to elaborate? Are the buttons too small to be effective? I'll probably be playing from my couch so a full keyboard might be a bit hard to maneuver.

Pretty sure he just types faster then pressing those little buttons, like texting lol xD

I use to use a Blackberry so if it is anything like that, I should be alright.

The placement just seems a bit awkward. Looks kinda high up.

I have one of those. It's very much like typing on a blackberry. Also an added bonus, if you run you finger along the surface of the keys, the whole keyboard can act as a touchpad for a mouse cursor.

I'm currently playing on PC with a gamepad controller and switching from keyboard to controller isn't that difficult and annoying as it may seem. I have noticed it at all at least.

With that small connected controller keyboard you're still basically taking your hands off the remote in order to type.
