I have one of those. It's very much like typing on a blackberry. Also an added bonus, if you run you finger along the surface of the keys, the whole keyboard can act as a touchpad for a mouse cursor.

I'm currently playing on PC with a gamepad controller and switching from keyboard to controller isn't that difficult and annoying as it may seem. I have noticed it at all at least.
With that small connected controller keyboard you're still basically taking your hands off the remote in order to type.

Thanks! I had no idea it had this feature, sounds useful.
I've been using controller + keyboard combo since FFXI days and its been pretty seamless for me as well. It just wont work so well for me while playing on my couch (vs my pc desk setup).I'm currently playing on PC with a gamepad controller and switching from keyboard to controller isn't that difficult and annoying as it may seem. I also think the numbered row (1-9) at the top of the keyboard would provide quick access to job abilities.
I have that keypad. Bought it for this game to use on PS3 but so far I been using it on Metal Gear Online until they shutdown the servers a few months ago
It works very good. 4/5 stars
The buttons should glow in the dark so I can see what I'm pressing in a dark room in my opinion.

I have it and actively use it at times on the PC for FFXIV. I wish it was like the 360's keypad and on the inside instead of where it's located for the PS3. It's a pain in the butt to type on and I'm not exaggerating. I mean, by all means it works and you'll be able to use it for the PS3 but it's just not as comfortable as it I feel it should/could be.
It's like typing on a Blackberry phone, button-wise. It's just not very comfortable or easy to type on, for me, anyway.
It all comes down to how fat your fingers are and how strong is your wrist, for me the PS Move and this keypad over the controller makes my hands get a little tired but I have skinny fingers so typing is not and issue and the additional "touch pad" feature is kinda neat, although is more like a proximity sensor, you don't actually have to touch the keypad for the cursor to move and it can be turned on and off with the touch of a button so you don't move the cursor accidentally while playing, when it's on the keys don't work and viceversa :-D
