I had this issue myself with a 3080 graphics card that drove me up the wall for quite a while - constant crashes in anything remotely taxing. After a LOT of trial and error, it turned out to be an issue with the card itself not being able to put up with the power it was trying to draw - which is a known defect with some early model 30-series Nvidia cards.

Sometimes it would lead to a DirectX crash, other times it would cause the system to black-screen and force me to give it a hard reboot.

The solution for me was to undervolt the card, which lets it draw less power. That means the chip on the card will run a little slower, but in exchange it can sometimes actually gain frames per second due to running a bit cooler.

The guide I followed was here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPR06CxysMw

...and it worked wonders for my card's stability.

One thing to note - if you do this and keep the undervolted settings, any time you update your graphics drivers and then immediately play a game the error will return until you reboot.

The other thing to note - if this IS the issue with your card, it means your card is actually defective, so sending it in under warranty to have it replaced should be an option and might be preferable.

ok so my game closed itself with no error, idk if it also counts, but this very rarely happens, most of the time its directx error.

Try to get another card for testing purposes to see if the problem persists.

I also just bought a new GPU (RTX 4060) and Ive been having directx issues with FF nonstop, crashing my game all the time.
Also, you're not the first person Im seeing with this problem.
FFXIV also crashed once with no errors just like you, and even blue screened me one time.

Question, did you ALSO tried to save your documents\mygames\ffxiv folder? I did this, and I also found 2 other people who said that deleting this folder (and starting from zero) fixed their game (one random guy on reddit and another random guy from JP with at least 4 years in between their advices).

Right now Im rolling back to an old GPU driver (566.03) while waiting to FFXIV launcher to check all my files after deleting that folder I just mentioned above.

How is it going on your end right now?

Just to give some information to that problem because my wife has the same issue.
    System 1 - Windows 11, DDR4 32 GB Corsair Vengeance 3600 Mhz, I7 10700, AMD 7900 XTX, m2 1 tb western digital - no crashes
    System 2 - Windows 11, DDR5 16 GB DD4 32 GB Corsair 6200 Mhz, I9 14900, Nvidia 3060 OC Gigabyte, ssd Samsung evo 500 gb - since patch 7.0 roughly 50 crashes and counting.

No other games show problems or crashes. Heck i installed on system 2 Stalker 2 and that works fine. System 1 plays on a 4k monitor while system 2 plays on a 27 WQHD.
I witched GPU, Monitor around with no changes. Sytem 1 - no crash, System 2 crashes BUT ONLY FF14. I tried even to install on a new nvme for System 2 but still the same. Did Furmark for 1 hour no crash on both system. Also cinebench on both just for fun and all good.
The crash is always directx related and with almost no information to go about. But it seems to this date only crashes to desktop, so that's good - blue screen would be far worse.
For me it looks like a FF14 problem but i do not know what triggers the crash. Confusing.

On a other note the "soundbug" which even Yoshida himself encountered in a LL is here again or something similar. At least for me but on a good note my game does not crash just silence.

Since my last crash I've rolled back to nvidia 566.03 drive and also I deleted the documents\mygames\ffxiv folder (except for my character appearances), then I repaired the files on the game launcher and waited for it to check everything. I also fixed a problem with my PC Boot but I believe it to be 0% related to the issue.

So far its been 1h and 30min since I relaunched the game and I've been changing settings and hotbars and macros and portraits and gearsets and yada yada yada all over again, but so far I didnt crash. Im trying to get into a PVP match to test it since I got 3-4 crashes in 1 match yesterday... but the queue is dead at this hour. Im already happy because I was crashing even outside the game as well, while idle.

I'll try it again tomorrow and see how it goes.

Those random DirectX crashes have been an issue for some people after every patch since the game was launched. For some people it is actually only certain areas or instances while for others it seems to be related to the activity. Some people had multiple installations of FF 14 on different harddrives and some of them worked perfectly while others had the DirectX crashes. After years of having them sporadically with 2 different computers I am quite certain that the issue lies in most cases not in your hardware and instead with the game itself.

OK, the log looks fine, no voltage issues or overheating. As a next step, i would underclock the graphics card so by 300 MHz. You can use MSI Afterburner for it.

    Cheers
