i followed your advice, no internet in safe mode, uninstall GPU driver, reboot install "566.14-desktop-win10-win11-64bit-international-dch-whql" from the link you gave me, but it looked like it installed the GPU driver and Geforce experience software, then Geforce.exe installed the latest driver and updated itself to Nvidia.exe.

i dont know if that is suppose to happen, but im back to where i was, i dont know if it did anything to stop me from crashing, but my right now my GPU usage is still sky high at 95-100% and im just standing in my house, with High (desktop) graphics, which my GPU should handle without being over 50% GPU, and its not busy here, so i still dont know whats going on.

im also looking into bitcoin miner virus as a possibility, would a bitcoin miner virus only work when GPU is being used? but im unsure about this since only FF14 is the problem and it doesnt have 90%+ GPU on every game or when no games are running.

Your GPU usage is suppose to be sky high if you are running the game with uncapped fps. I doubt you have a bitcoin mining virus because if you did, then your GPU usage would always be affected even when you aren't playing any games.

Do you recall making any changes to your game's graphics settings shortly before your dx11 crashes started happening?

ooh no i cap at 60 FPS now and its still 90-100% GPU, makes sense if i had 80-140 FPS like i use to and that be the caused for high GPU, when i was getting crashes i was changing my ingame graphics, i lowered it each time i get directx error.
been a few days now and i still havent gotten that directx error but im using alot of GPU, and running the game at 60FPS at high (desktop) graphics it should be around 50% GPU right?

GPU is supposed to be running that high. Mine is sitting at 95% atm and it's perfectly fine. You should try playing another game or run a benchmark and see what is happening.

Odds are your GPU might be cooked if you also get artifacts. Generally, that is a sign the GPU is dying.

i also had a look at the Geforce software, it can control overclock and fan speed but overclock isnt on by default so i dont think its overclocking.
I am late replying here, you will usually find events in Application under the Windows logs, you'll be looking for Level: Error, and then just look for the application, you can also use Ctrl+F. You should get information then inc., the faulting module/kernal, and a corresponding exception code. Which can help diagnose the issue.

I am honestly half inclined to ask for full system specs, inc., CPU. Errors displayed from game can sometimes be very misleading. I've had an issue in the past, a little more widespread, but most standard diagnostics from the game, application and web browsers all indicated a problem with RAM or GPU, but was really an issue with the CPU which required replacing.

You also really shouldn't be be downgrading graphics etc., to resolve a very clear issue.

my GPU is about 8 months old, some say they run their game with high (desktop) graphics and only get half the GPU % than i do.

To be fair, that is irrelevant as it can be faulty. Unless you stress test it and see how it performs in other games, the fact that it's just 8 m.o. only means that you are still under warranty. Others have suggested this as well, but seeing how it performs under stress + the temps that it reads during test it can be a much more accurate evaluation.

If stress testing + temp reading are normal, you could DL different driver versions. I had to do a driver rollback for Patch 4 of BG3 because the game had some really weird delays and rendering issues.

    1. download Hwinfo Portable: https://www.hwinfo.com/download/
    2. start it with "Sensors only"
    3. Create a log. There are buttons in the bottom of the window.
    4. play so for 20 minutes or until the game crashes.
    5. upload the log somewhere so i can look into it. You can also zip it if it gets too big.
