    Plenty of long-term players, me included, are just disappointed with the current state of the game and where it's headed.

    I was super passionate about the world and the story, bought all the art books and the Encyclopedia and other store items just to support this game and, well, my rose-tinted glasses fell off after the ending of EW and its first few patches.
    My sub will run out at the end of January and I don't know if I come back for the next expansion. If they continue with their current direction, then most likely not.

    Yup jobs are hardly the problem we just simply don't have enough content. They seriously need to add either Criterion, deep dungeon or field operation at launch and cycle through them. I'd prefer field operation at launch and deep dungeon and Criterion together and update it as follows, 7.0, 7.2, 7.4 and maybe one more update towards the end to keep us busy until the expansion release. Sigh I just want to play their stupid game some more raids and dungeons are barely content that last.

    Also forgot to mention let us fucking queue with our friends in Crystal pvp at least with one friend on non ranked. Tired of them treating this game only for solo players only.

    I think you can scratch deep dungeon off that list, at least if they were to implement it like Orthos. That was dead on arrival content. With PotD and HoH people would run it for the weapons since it was a good weapon for casuals at the time of release. With Orthos they released the relic upgrade on the same patch that was better than anything from Orthos and it took only a bunch of tomes. That's still one of the most baffling decisions I've seen regarding to this game, content invalidated day 1 by another. So if you actually did the content, it was only usable for average exp or shitty glamours. I think they've also showed that they're incapable of doing anything interesting with the formula, all iterations have just been PotD with a different setting and minor adjustments. They could have created something amazing if they had used the logos action system for deep dungeons but at this point I don't see it happening.

    Also they should probably make deep dungeons viable for more than just the current expansion. One of the reasons for PotD's longevity is it's good for 60 levels, while HoH and Orthos are only usable for 10 levels.

    Orthos feels way to similar to PoTD and HoH as you said. Almost 5 years after HoH and very little innovation in the design. And it seemed like it died within a week or two.

    If they're doing a new DD, I really hope they make some changes. Logos actions that you can obtain, or perhaps even new abilities you can unlock for each job. Maybe draw inspiration from PVP, so each job has a replaced set of skills that bring out the class fantasy of each.

    On the exodus part, I'm on Chaos so it might be difficult to see since everyone DC travels to Light. But I have noticed more and more housing plots being empty and no one bidding on them. So it does seem that players are leaving and aren't replaced by new people.

    Been saying that for a while now. CS3 could turn Deep Dungeon into an actual roguelite with different skills you can find in the instance that change your playstyle, but instead they are as creatively bankrupt as they are with class changes.

    And lets not forget - the EXP payout is not good enough to keep up with Dungeons (even factoring in DPS queues) or Secrets of the Realm Alliance spam. PotD was loved because it was an alternative to dungeon spam due to the shorter queues. Not quite as good as dungeons, but still more than enough.

    DDs will stay relatively dead as long as square does not rethink the "only rnd queue up to floor 30" bit. well, and rewards as well i guess. but its the main reason the content always dies for me at least

    Unsubbed yesterday after being on a sub spree for around 3 years, with very high chances of not coming back.

    It was fun while it lasted, but I do not appreciate it when I am constantly being gaslit into thinking that everything is fine and I should go have a break. DT MSQ sucked, itemization is mind-numbingly linear and boring, class identity is being scraped out of existence with each passing patch, last set of PvP changes feel absolutely out of touch with possibly the worst input/action feedback I've seen in MMO to date. The fact that we are getting two new grinding zones only around a YEAR after the expansion release, in my mind, is absolutely f****ng insane. This type of content should be there on day one - in worst case, a one or two month delay after the expansion release. I could honestly go on, but truth to be told - I no longer care.
