When i read things like "ah thats the reason why they put less effort in the game another project" or any bullshit, serious question can you read? Its not the SE Team which produces the Game its Tencent and it will never be Cross-Play or Cross-Save, SE just gets the free money from it, thats it

It’s all about cutting costs and reducing the budget for the main game. And seriously, does anyone really think Yoshi-P will just ignore this project and won’t be fully involved in it? Its pretty easy and this is actually how Tencent works. Square sells Licence Rights to Tencent and gets a xyz amount or gets xyz from the win which Tencent makes with the Game. Tencent will bomb the Game then with Lootboxes and Gacha or any other Mobile Cash grabs while Square profits from it and doesnt care about it. Tencent makes big $$$$ because lets be real people will play this game without question maybe not NA/EU but its not new that Mobilegames are the most played things in Asian Countrys.

Actually now that I had time to mull it over i have to ask who is this product even for? I understand wanting to reach the mobile market and all but ARR is offered for free already in the free trial so a mobile version that possibly has more micro-transactions just seems a rather wasted development.
