Proto-Lalafell

After 11 years on FFXIV, started this game during beta phase ARR in June 2013 before its release in August 2013, I'm now in my retirement tour & plan on retiring from 14 when I finish DT story & 7.1, I love the game, greatest game I ever played IMO but it's time to end my time on 14.

One thing I can't shake is I can't find any other game we're i can play a Lalafell looking character, I love the Lala because they remind me of a physical manifestation of pure Godly goodness & Innocence, a measurement I'll never match up to but one I highly respect & wish I could be.

I can play hot milf chicks, beast type characters & bad asses in FFXIV & other games but can't play the innocent little kid hero, except in Little Nightmares, but I've already beat the Little Nightmares games, highly recommend all who enjoy being a lala to play the Little Nightmares games.

So do u know any other games I can be a Lalafell type character in, whether it's a game were u create a character or play as already made characters I'm cool with either & welcome any suggestions, Ty FFXIV community for the 11 years of enjoyment and friendship I've had in this game.

FFXI, they have the tarutaru race which lalafell were inspired by (most notably, Shantotto, who is FFXI's representative in the Dissidia games and who even appeared here in FFXIV in a past special event many years ago is a tarutaru), and thus are literally 'proto-lalafell.'

You can also get a Wind-up Tarutaru minion here in FFXIV to get a taste of what they look like (there's also the Wind-up Shantotto, but that's no longer available).

DQX has both Puklipo and Dwarves, and you can also play as a Human child if you want the kid hero vibe.

Its a bit older (released 2013 i think), but Ni No Kuni might be up your alley. I haven't played it myself, but its an RPG whose protagonist is a 13 year old boy, the entire game looks like straight out of a Ghibli Movie.

Another vote for FF11 - Taru-Taru race ARE Lalafells. The game is quite old now (20+ years) and yeah the graphics are PS2 era, but it's still a great game - harder than 14 with less QoL (you don't get quest markers or quest clues - get ready to use online guides, have to form your own parties, no flying mounts, etc) but the sense of accomplishment and achievement is far greater (especially if you can successfully solo stuff). It's had some improvements with the Trust system (NPC's that function a bit like 14's duty support/trusts but can join you almost anywhere in the game - including open world areas making solo and casual play a lot easier).

DQX is not available outside of Japan, but with a VPN and some tools you can still play the free trial with automatized translation (Look for DQX Abbey, they have a guide and a Discord server and everything).

It has aged a little, and the character options might seem more limited than FFXIV at first glance, but if you look at their premium store or even other players you'll realize that the simpler graphics allow for a lot more flexibility in customization.
