You expect developers to be mind readers. I do not.
They have analysts hired to "read the minds" of player collectives. It's not the player's job to tell them how to fix something if the solution isn't simple. They can only tell what they like and what they don't like.

Nobody in this forum, reddit or bluesky is being paid by SE except their moderators and community managers. And the armchair-designer text wall solutions people think help aren't any more useful than a player complaining they think a job is boring since the developers aren't going to implement anything you suggest the way you think is best.
They can be cool and spark good discussion... but that's all they do.

Yes I've completely fine with Allied Society quests. Not all content is going to be overly elaborate, and with 25 years of MMO experience I'm used to dailies designed for players with limited bursts of time to play.

If "giving more lore" was the intention of these quests, they're not achieving that either. It looked promising early on, delivering additional notes about several locations in the introductory quests and with the trainee tour guide, but it seems to have dried up entirely. The tour guide is stuck visiting only two locations on loop, and half the other quests have us checking in on the tour guides without hearing anything of the tours.

I enjoyed the redemption storyline with the bandits, but so far it is the only left turn in this content, and has been a very small part of the whole.
I also wanna clarify with my last complaint - I don't mind if other races are featured in society quests. I see it as a valid way to hit two birds with one stone in terms of adding lore. I love learning about all the different races the game has to offer. But I do mind when there's a relative imbalance on what's being featured, especially when it comes at the expense of learning more about the main subject of the society.

I've been playing this game since ARR and never taken damage while doing one of these. I don't even know what happens.

I'd rather have that and some gameplay

    These are not mutually exclusive.

Not gonna lie, as an ex dev, this take made me chuckle.

And not only is it the same few quests over and over, but the multiple choice NPCs all have the same dialogue response. There isn't much to learn beyond that.

It shaves a few seconds off the timer, but there's more than enough to walk through an enemy and shrug it off.
