I predicted she would be plastered everywhere, people said nah she was toned down in the trailer, and would you look at that. She was indeed everywhere. how would Bakool Ja Ja know we were the ones that defeated the other blessed sibling? there's part of the MSQ where he is brought up and we intentionally glaze past it because why would we admit to being the one to defeat him when these people had just begun to open up and talk to us. As far as the Mamool Ja know he's missing

Yeah, sure, I love when the game makes callbacks and references to other events I've done but I don't think it would have made sense for him to assume that the other blessed sibling was defeated by our hand

One thing I think is missed is how other characters are brought up. Usually when one character mentions another, it's for a reason. It progresses the story, it gives insight into the (or both) character(s) we may not have already known, etc... The problem with Wuk is that she's mentioned just to mention how great she is -- the Mary Sue problem. Even in Jueno, Bakool Ja Ja has turned his simp levels up to 11 and mentions Wuk and "Oh of course she won, she chose you, WoL! She's so smart and amazing and perfect!" And yes, I'm taking the piss out of what he actually said, but that's what every interaction in Dawntrail feels like.

You'd think the Pelupelu would vibe with Koana more as he's the Vow of Reason. He'd be the one they'd be more interested in as he would be the one in charge of commerce, relations between nations and general regional politics. But I guess that would be too complex so let's just use Wuk Lamat.


I agree with this thread entirely about the Bakool Ja Ja 'compliment'. Why he brings up Wuk when she's not even involved just makes him so distant. He doesn't wanna get to know us or compliment us directly, he's only interested in Wuk Lamat. Why would it be so hard for him to say "I see why your skills are so highly praised" or something? It's direct, personal and doesn't superfluously mention Wuk Lamat.

Wokism aside, she say it's healthy for a translator to put their own view in the game regardless of other people opinion. That person now replaced Koji Fox and helped other people like her find a role (e.g Wuk Lamat english VA).

When I saw Wuk in the flashback for the new "allied society" quests I just alt f4'd and canceled my recurring sub, I have no idea how the new MSQ is but I'm so tired of Wuk Lamat and this crappy writing and lack of content that I can't be bothered to even check it out. Oh god just reading these tweets makes me wanna vomit. Just liking the idea that translators should have the liberty of putting anything they want in there is just so mega idiotic, your job is translator and not writer learn the difference. You didn’t write this media piece so how do you take out the liberty too mistranslate what the author wrote. Like at this point just let ai translate this stuff and fire these people. I come home from 8-10 hour shifts and I wanna enjoy games/media and not a political message about woke stuff. Like they do this to so many established franchises and destroy them as we saw with Star Wars, Marvel, LotR and Witcher and they tried too pull that shit with warhammer 40k.
