During the rite of succession that sort of wording would have somewhat made sense. But "[Someone] chose well" is a compliment you give to a subordinate of someone, like if someone was complimenting the prowess of a maelstrom commander by saying "Merlwyb chose well".

how would Bakool Ja Ja know we were the ones that defeated the other blessed sibling? there's part of the MSQ where he is brought up and we intentionally glaze past it because why would we admit to being the one to defeat him when these people had just begun to open up and talk to us. As far as the Mamool Ja know he's missing

and how would he know that it was Erenville that suggested us to begin with? When he first met us it was with Wuk Lamat getting food and as far as he was concerned, she chose us to be our ally

she very much could have still declined seeking our aid regardless of what her friend had said if we didn't meet her expectations

Yeah, sure, I love when the game makes callbacks and references to other events I've done but I don't think it would have made sense for him to assume that the other blessed sibling was defeated by our hand
