Current state of Viera and Hrothgar

I am amused that they went out of their way to say they fixed the sleeves issue on multiple gear pieces due to the improper rigging, and then didn't fix any of the new gear coming out. It's like what? Like why go through the motions of fixing 30+ pieces and then introduce the same problem with the new pieces? Thankfully, most of my glams don't suffer from the huge AF sleeve issue, but is wild to me their thought processes.

The fact that AF gear should be the bare minimum (and still isnt - example blm hats and rdm hats) is a cruel joke.

On the issue of bad clipping... as a femroe player, I seem to recall all those times mounts on launch didn't fit at all with our models. Like the time the dwarf tank had our feet sticking out through the bottom. Or when the namazu mikoshi mount had our hands holding on to air some foot above where the handlebar ended. And we have so many long hairstyles that clip with just about every armor released to date!

So when did caring about model fit become something that stopped SE from releasing something?

I remember when the "Falcon" mount was released the models didn't fit (Hands overshooting the handles) other than Lalas I think, but they quickly managed to fix it.

Same reason they keep releasing new hats & hairs that don't work on Viera and Hrothgar even when there's a huge pileup of ones that don't work already.

Gotta add more work for their team to do so they don't actually have to work on the whole hat situation. "We have more pressing things that we introduced and now need to fix before we can work on that low priority task"

But oh, I guess toes look better on some shoes and boots now? Who even frickin' asked for that relative to the YEARS of requests for Viera and Hrothgar fixes?

Toes have been very bad on ALL races since ARR and before, so it's warranted they'll fix it. We also need a fix on the dumb sandals we get when we unequip shoes or use the Emperor's boots.
They should just hire the top modders for a few months and have them fix their stuff in just a few patch cycles. But they won't, for whatever reason...?

This really pisses me off so much, especially considering we're PAYING customers, each month, and each expansion, on top of other purchases.
Let me use my mogstation hats. Let me use my Matoya Hat god damn it!!!

End of the day, I won't abandon Hrothgal because, after 11 years, I feel I'm finally the race/character I've always meant to be. But dang, it is overly frustrating. I am still convinced some minor tweaks happened to their models in 7.1 but I can't put my finger on it. I thought they had been left alone completely, but the shoulders look a tad tweaked and I swear my eyes aren't exactly the same, but I could just be losing my mind.

I feel the exact same way, going back to playing a character that is not *me* is out of the question. Hope this sentiment doesn't encourage SE to sit on their thumbs and do nothing, because dedicated fans of hrothgar/viera will play these races no matter how limited they are. Which is why I feel the need to add that I cancelled my sub.

Not sure about the shoulders tbh, cause they still look mega deformed in a lot of poses, but yeah I feel like they brightened up the eyes a little - might just be changes to the lighting though.

I feel ya. I will dabble on Lalafell every now and again because I really grew attached to my lala over the years waiting on femHroth, but having hats on my hroth will make that less likely.
But also, I'm convinced SE profits greatly from half assing hroths and then selling Fantasias to us...

It's inexcusable to put out *new* gear that we can't use hats with. I understand anything prior to ShB, I'm even willing to say prior to EW -- but it's Dawntrail. Viera and Hrothgar have been out for 5 years. Putting out new gear -- especially cash shop items -- that can't be used is absurd.

It's especially egregious to then charge players full price for the set when their character can't use it. The site is linked to the character, they know if it is a viera/hrothgar
