Fix this ish SE.
Screaming into the 13th.
I cant wait to deal with this for the next 10 years while SE tries to implement dumb things into the game and then spends all their time fixing that instead.

Hello, I suffered through Crystalline Conflict pain to get the new PVP set. Hat doesn't work on Viera. (っ °Д °っ(っ °Д °

Its wild how Yoshi-P used to apologize profusely for even the slightest inconvenience, meanwhile here we are. 5 years post Shadowbringers with hardly any hat support for any Viera/Hrothgar players, after they said they would work on it. Including some of the newer hats just outright not supporting them as well. What a joke.
6 years & 14,800+ hours of playtime, & I must say goodbye. I cannot support the current direction of SE/CBU3 anymore.
That got to be the most puzzling part of all of this. Even if all of the gear was effectively produced before Shadowbringers (which wouldnt make much sense, honestly), that could explain it. But again, 5 WHOLE YEARS!!
You would've thought that perhaps, with the 6 months delay for Dawntrail, they would have had the time to actually fix all of it but.. I guess not?
All of it? They didn't even fix SOME of it.
Yet, some random mod maker in their basement can fix the metadata toggle overnight and have ALL HATS working on Female Hrothgar within 2 weeks of launch.
SE should just activate the metadata everywhere for hats, and then slowly work on "fixing" the worse clipping ones patch by patch.
Tried on the new PVP hat from the patch released last week. Imagine my surprise when I couldn't wear it.
Please understand, this is a small indie company, there's not enough people on the team to actually implement a fully functional new race. Here's a free Fantasia so you can play one of the finished ones, though! /s
On the issue of bad clipping... as a femroe player, I seem to recall all those times mounts on launch didn't fit at all with our models. Like the time the dwarf tank had our feet sticking out through the bottom. Or when the namazu mikoshi mount had our hands holding on to air some foot above where the handlebar ended. And we have so many long hairstyles that clip with just about every armor released to date!
So when did caring about model fit become something that stopped SE from releasing something?
People have to be loud and obnoxious with hundreds of pages of comments and multiple articles written about it for SE to take notice. Unfortunately plenty of people, like one of the commenters in this thread, feel that since it doesn't bother them, then it's not important.
But for those like that I will say this, your money is no better than ours. I have paid a sub for years, I have purchased hairstyles and gear on the mogstation that I still do not have access too on my viera.
That bridal hair? Not usable on viera
Yshtola's hair? Not usable on viera
Aymeric's hair? Not usable on viera
The hats from 80% of the sets I've purchased? Not usuable on viera.
This doesn't even count the things I have not purchased or the fact that those items are not usable on Hroth either.
These were purchased BEFORE their handy little small print saying it would not work on viera, so it's not that I wasn't properly informed that I had to pay full price for an item I can't use 100% of.
I would rather read people complaining about clipping than read about people continuing to not be paid what they are due, which is in-game items they PAID for should be AVAILABLE for them to USE.

I finally got fed up with the hat issues and non-racial hair textures not matching the ear fur and went back to lizard after 5 years. Oh well.
