ToS rules for Party Finder?

Someone mentioned that listing a PF as "C41" is against the ToS. I thought they were trolling me because of how silly that sounds, but they were apparently being serious. Is there somewhere that lists an up to date version of what's against the rules for party finder?

I imagine it's here on the forums somewhere, which I don't frequent generally, but I wasn't able to easily find it.

You can request a C41 for yourself or other person in your party, but you cannot advertise you're offering C41 as a service to other random players, as far as I remember.

C41 is not against ToS that person can't or never read the ToS.

It is prohibited to advertise using the Party Finder to offer help to clear duties or obtain items (to help people clear raid content or obtain items by having them join your party). A penalty will be issued if the act has been confirmed.

This prohibits the act of advertising such support and does not prohibit those asking for help themselves through the use of the Party Finder.

It is not a violation to ask for help or to offer a reward when asking for help, as in the following examples that do not violate our policy. However, in the examples that do violate the policy, the person offering help is advertising their services, which is prohibited.

Examples of violations:
Selling [duty] clear for 1 million gil.
Selling [duty] clear and/or offering the associated rewards from [content]. Join for more info/details.

Examples of non-violation:
I'm new, can anyone help me clear [duty]?
Help me clear [duty] and I'll pay you 1 million gil!
I'd like to get some items from [duty]. will pay 1 million gil if I can get it.

Please note that Square Enix may conduct investigations and issue a penalty in its discretion even if a report has not been filed.

People advertise C41 all the time. You will probably even see one if you look right now.

The rule is against offering to help people clear the duty in exchange for money or gil, because RMT accounts were spamming Party Finder with it. C41 is clearly not RMT and I doubt a GM would interpret it as such, especially if there is no mention of money or gil.

Clear for 1, for example if someone has prog'd a fight and seen up to enrage, they're ready for a C41 to kill the fight.

Thanks for that. I think people violate this without realizing it. Basically Square Enix seems to blanket statement it similar to how they do with mods. according to this it's against the rules to put up a C41 in PF for my friend when they are ready to clear a fight, but not against the rules for them to host the PF as C41. Even though there is no exchange of rewards for the clear either way. One is against the ToS on a technicality and the other is not. Obviously Square Enix will probably use their discretion to determine who is or is not violating the rules, but it's better off not left to chance.

If it helps, the only time I've ever seen people get in trouble for C41 is back when everyone was bored at the end of Endwalker so Ultimate Raiders were repeatedly putting up C41 parties offering to help random people clear Ultimates. Never seen a violation for "C41 for my buddy who is already in the party"

Yeah, that's actually how I found out about it. I was helping someone clear UCoB(Just me and them), and someone messaged me letting me know it was against the ToS. Basically I believe Square Enix is trying to battle RMT with the rule, because they have no way of knowing that I was just helping a friend and not accepting some kind of reward out of game. I obviously haven't done it since, it's just not worth the risk.
