    New PvP LBs

    ...are utter garbage. At least in the old system you could strategically adapt to incoming LBs and use what skill you had to recover from them.

    Now you can stand there and get 1 hit KO'd with absolutely nothing to do about it. Feels great man.

    Gameplay should be about skill, not getting helplessly picked off, especially in ranked modes.

    I think they already nerfed some LB damage, and LB didnt actually one shot everything, if you get hit by 2 or 3 LB in the same time, of course you will die, and you can just use guard as caution which reduce 90% damage, also, not even LB, if you were alone and get ganked by 3 or more player, yes you will also die fast

    Are you referring to pre-6.1 content?
    If you're referring to post-6.1 content, then:
    1) they haven't nerfed anything yet
    2)SAM's Zantetsuken can OHKO anyone who has Kuzushi, which means they are the only job in the game who can potentially OHKO an entire party with their one limit break under the right circumstances. NIN also gets a OHKO LB, but it's limited to one target, and they must be at 50% HP or Below. And then, MCH has a chance to OHKO a target with their chainsaw.
    3)There are a lot of attacks that ignore guard (MNK LB ignores guard and stunlocks the target, WAR LB breaks guard entirely, SAM LB ignores guard as well) on top of the server lag causing the guard not to register before damage happens, often leaving players obliterated seconds after they put up their guard.

    There are a few things that can be tightened up about PVP. But I'll be honest, a little nip here, a tuck there, and the LBs would be absolutely perfect. Even now, it's a matter of understanding your enemy and doing what you can to prevent giving them the ideal scenarios.

    In theory, in practice what happens is you can get a perfect engage and a Machinist just randomly kills you because they got lucky. Awful design decision.
    In theory you could avoid getting OHKO by SAM by avoiding them when they have LB, in practice one of your many AoE attacks can scratch them while they jump around like a monkey on coke therefore giving you Kuzushi.
    NIN LB is the only OHKO LB that feels fair so far, because it's super conditional, you can wipe an entire party under the right conditions but these conditions are difficult to achieve.

    Worst part is that SAM, just like MCH is a gimmicky job in PvP, they are extremely useless outside of these conditions, it's just a subpar design choice on some of these jobs that absolutely need some rework, same with GNB.

    SAM has basically everything a DPS job could want between multiple forms of CC, a spammable gap closer, a CC immunity, lifesteals, mitigation, shields, and high burst damage. The LB is honestly just icing on the cake with how long it takes to charge up, but still could stand to be taken down a notch because it's still strong even if you fail to instakill with it.

    MNK and RPR are in a much more sour spot comparatively because they lack presence even with their LBs factored in.

    I do agree that the MCH instakill needs to go in the dumpster, though.

    Old ones did not even feel like lbs. More like a scaring tools. They also alerted the enemy before going off

    I disagree, if anything they make pvp a thousand time more fun and that's all that matter to me

    Now i also get frustrated when the Kuzuki debuff pop on me and i get instantly deleted by a samurai but hey, can't win every time !

    It does take some skill or timing to be used properly. I've won matches by using my WHM's at certain times.
