We speak, they listen... what could be better than that for any and all MMO's.

You need to rethink your position.

On a lighter note; I also enjoyed the female's voice and I love Annie Lennox.
A real reborn came out of a few peoples suggestions and more strongly a desire to emulate WoW. We will see how that turns out.

I don't understand why you ask "why are you here if you dont want to talk about the game?" As I am clearly talking about the game. I think what you meant to ask was "Why are you here if you don't want to say positive things about the game?"

Lastly, "we speak, they listen" is a really bad strategy for the devs to take. As they don't know who to listen to, since we all have varied opinions. How much to listen. When to listen. How to turn our varied, uneducated (in video game design) and silly comments into constructive ideas. etc etc etc

Im not saying SE should work in a bubble, they can see whats available out here. But simply pandering to the majority or lowest common denominator will not make their game a success. They need to be on the cutting edge. They need to define that edge with their own concepts and twists on game mechanics.

FF14 1.0 was not that bad; SP, Phy lvl/class level, optimal gear, complex crafting, mob ai, the concept of leves, etc. Some really cool ideas, but almost everything was broken, laggy and buggy. They listened to people who didn't want to see these systems fixed and instead wanted "mmo standards" and we got a watered down MMO. We will see what is left of FF14 in 2.0 as they try to make it an "easy transition for WoW players".
