Dance of the Dawn requires my dance partner to get a kill; there is nothing I can do myself to proc it. Contradance and Solo Step just feel completely different. I don't see them as comparable.

Thanks for your, uhhh... concern over my job of choice. I'm going to ignore the condescension. I like dancer, I mostly play dancer, and I plan to continue to play dancer. Dancer is my favorite job; if I think they made a change that isn't fun I should say something. I'm going to be specific, I'm only talking about how we proc DotD. I'm not talking about dancer's kit as a whole nor dancer's overall power or usefulness.
I apologize because I think I missed that you mentioned that you played FL (my mind probably just read CC and called it a day), therefore it makes my take on playing "melees" or selfish jobs a little out of touch since it would have applied specifically to CC.

I'd agree that DNC has always been split between a heavy support directed at a partner and a heavy focus on solo power, keeping that duality, unlike BRD for instance that's mainly a team buffer. I think the job would benefit from getting Dance of the Dawn procs from your own kills as well as long as partner is active. If this would be too strong (notably in CC), then numbers and gauge increase can be adjusted. Currently a single Dance of the Dawn fills up the gauge very fast already. I heard talks about -15s of charge time, but sometimes it feels like more.

It does feel to me that this hit resolution change is a kneejerk reaction or a hasty feature request on the side of the directors rather than the pvp balance team. Its obvious that the whole pvp kits and jobs aren't designed with this in mind, they do still follow the same direction than before, and this change has probably been hastily tacked over an otherwise relatively healthy base just because someone not familiar enough with pvp decided unilaterally that "guard should be fixed because people are complaining about it" or something along those lines.

It might actually work if all animations were shorter. Unfortunately it seems the appearance of the game is more important to SQEX than the gameplay.

And talking of the animations, I have all of them other than mine on "some" and the FL field is still a complete mess. When there's an engagement in a choke point it's really bad. Picto's big AoE thing lingers and completely dominates the visuals.

Maybe another example of "this looks great in CC" without considering the visual chaos it produces in FL.

    Vive la résistance!

Finalement, Boucles d'or goûta le porridge dans le bol de Bébé Ours. "Miam Miam, ce porridge est parfait!" dit-elle, et elle mangea le bol entier de porridge.
