What was the instance again? Castrum Lacus Litore?

When folks didn't do it while the content was fresh they had to wait for AGES to get enough folks to complete the instance and progress the story if they didn't utilize Discord. I still recall so many people complaining in shout chat in each instance.

That was only for the patch where CLL was the “endgame” of Bozja

Once completing CLL became needed to progress to DRN then Zadnor it was totally fine

That doesn’t undo the frustration felt during that window of time. Ultimately, folks were punished for waiting.

Except there was no reward for doing CLL during that patch so there really wasn’t any punishment

I do feel for the casual playerbase that feels very left out of this patch, and unfortunately its been this way every X.1 patch as long as the MMO has been around. Despite having this feedback every time about there being very little repeatable/grind content for the average player, they're still doing it all these years later.

I do hope SE eventually learns to move the release tables around to have something more mass-appealing in X.1 in the future, because the player's feelings about the casual content drought only gets worse as the time between patches gets longer.

For someone playing 11 years excluding 1.0, I have less than 300 forum posts. This tells you I play the game more than dwelling in the forums. As for you, registered 3 years with 2.8k posts ... says another thing.

I usually come forum for information on the game but recent months (year?) I see ridiculous posts asking, whining, complaining & badgering SE & FF team and also the players that love this game. This is not acceptable.

I literally never visited this forum because I was enjoying the game and only posted to complain about the forced steam link and later the PLD cover in onsal and how frustrating that was....
It wasn't until their half baked benchmark came out that I started posting here often too about eyestrain issues that I never had prior to 7.0

Where else can people go if not through official outlets to let their voices be hopefully heard? You don't own it. It wasn't 'taken from you' and as such it can't be given 'back' to you.
You come here to get information...what information? It doesn't take rocket science to conclude that naturally forums would be more skewed to complaining/grievances of varying levels. If I wanted information I'd go to the lodestone, discord, youtube and other outlets.

While I agree, people should vote with their wallet, some might still have reason for staying, some might even be inhaling the copium that 'this is just a phase' and things get worse before they get better.
Ultimately, SE is a business, change won't happen until they're hit where it hurts, money but by the time people don't care enough to give feedback and are just silently unsubbing, it'd already be too late in my opinion. There won't be ARR 2.0 to salvage it either, but hey, time will tell.

Yesterday I decided to unlock Custom Deliveries for Margrat, because I noticed I had forgotten those for some reason.
Upon starting the quest I was immediatly drawn in by entertaining fun dialogue that had a surprising amount of conflict and character and depth to it.

Dawntrail's writing just fades in comparison. It's bland, shallow and plainly uninteresting to me. The Pelupelu Society Quest line features no interesting dialogue and annoyingly long drawn-out expositions. I'm not even addressing the MSQ because we all know how that goes.

I have no idea what they did to FFXIV's authors, but the quality of dialogue and story is just lacking. Were they moved to the raiding department? Because combat encounters is what Dawntrail really shines at.

Bottom line I don't like the game's direction either. If not for housing, I would probably unsubscribe after getting my SPEEEEEEEEENE wings.

Lets see whats on my to do list:

Complete the MSQ on alts
Farm gear for alts
Do FF11 Alliance Raid to farm gear tokens and orchestrion rolls on main for later
Do PeluPelu Tribe quests
Farm mount tokens for barreltender mount

2/5ths of that is just extra work I made for myself.

I liked the part of the MSQ involving Shaaloani. I liked the dungeon as it sort of scratched that shadowbringers itch.

I don't plan to do Unreal Jade Stoa, nor Chaotic Cloud of Darkness, nor Ultimate Futures Rewritten

Only reason I stay subbed is a house and what I have developed on an island sanctuary.

When you "Take a break" you miss out on being able to ever get some mounts & minions EVER because they refuse to ever re-release things in PvP, even the ones they say they will.

i'm a raider who is currently taking a necessary break, i was supposed to be on a FRU prog on release day but i dont want to force myself to play anymore, anyway i've unsubed for the 1st time and i might comeback for 7.2 or before if square enix put the auto demo house timer back in europe (spain water issue)... but i might not comeback at all tbh

frankly i'm too tired of the game mostly because of all the boring gameplay changes with the same questionnable philosophie since shadowbringer, btw about the recent 7.1 patch i didnt like their way of "fixing" Ninja and didnt like the fact they removed identity things once again for DRG, every balance patch is the same old boring homogeneous shit mentality and i cannot believe that they will start shake up things on 8.00 patch, to me this is just a horrible bait from Yoshi P and i will not be in the next expansion for sure

All trusts i had on Yoshi P is lost with Dawntrail
