    An unexpected error has occured. Exiting FINAL FANTASY XIV.

    Im getting this error everytime after couple of seconds of loading screen as i login to play with my character, ive tried reinstalling game three times already and i have no idea or technical knowledge to know what i should do.

    Hello,
    I know it won't help you, but I have exactly the same issue. Sometimes, the game is even crashing with no error message...
    All this, since yesterday's update...and only in Dawntrail zones.
    Now I'm stuck in the new raid, not able to log in again with my main character, otherwise the game crashes.

    You got the exact problem i have, are you running Steam version or Launcher version? Windows 11 or 10?

    Solution found

    Hi, my game is finally working fine, i only had some corrupted files in the game files.
    If you have discord, go on the one dedicated to FFXIV and you'll see how to do it.

    Also experiencing this after the patch and it's extremely frustrating to put it lightly. The crashes are frequent but unpredictable enough that I can't really queue up for anything safely.

    We apologize for any inconvenience experienced when trying to play Final Fantasy XIV. For us to better assist you, please respond with the following information:

    What Platform are you using? (Steam/Windows/Mac/PS4 etc.)
    At what point does the issue occur?
    How often does the issue occur?

    Are you running any additional programs alongside Final Fantasy XIV?
    Does the issue occur with one character or multiple characters?
    When the issue happens, is the PC over heating at all?
    Were any update or changes made to the PC around the time of the issue?
    Does this issue occur if the game is run in full screen mode? Does it happen in borderless or windowed mode?

    All steps taken to resolve the issue:

    Could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.
