Is version 2.0 really coming out before 1-1-13

I have read both of these articles. The interview from Gamer Escape gives absolutely no hint to a time frame. The one from MMOSite is right in line with what I have been saying. This game will go down in late Sept/early Oct. At that time SE will conduct Alpha and Closed Beta. The open Betas will be right after that. So unless SE has changed their minds about making the new client available for download to current subscribers sometime in late Oct we will be using that as part of the open Betas. In order to fully test the new client I am sure that our current characters will be made available to us at that time. Ergo we will be back in game in 1 fashion or another sometime in Nov <start of the free trial period>. Granted, there may be changes that SE has failed to informs us about but until an official post is made outlining them I will stand by my previous posts. This sounds like a job for the Community Reps.

It has been quoted and linked from various people. It's quite obvious you missed it, it would be different if only one person made the open beta time-frame claim.

NO the actual servers wont used for 2.0. ... he said that it will need some time to transfer all character datas to all new servers (new server structure) and the new game client as well..

he said they are almost in time.. so the ONLY facts you can see here. + - 1 month i'd say

Also, keep in mind that transferring the characters to the new servers and systems could take up to a month. So that process will be running while the beta test is in place. There can’t be a launch immediately after the current servers are shut down.

It's straight from the mouth of the director of this game that the open beta is planed to start in January, the only thing left to ponder is how long it's going to be before they end the beta and launch 2.0...

Open beta in January. We probably won't get our game back until 2.0. Servers down in a couple months.

What i read in the roadmap is PlayStation Closed Beta Test & Version 2.0 Free Trial Period starts somewhere in the middle of november. I dont think the PC version will have a 'Beta' like I have been hearing, I think he means all that for PS3 verson. PC free trial will come before the PS3 version is live for everyone.

Basically this. Everyone is saying that there will be a closed and open beta for PC, but I am not reading that anywhere in their plans.

Maybe if they alter the roadmap to reflect pushed back dates...

the interview which you have quoted.. Yoshida says no where if it is PC or PS3 closed beta or for both. and they talked about the ps3 version is maybe going to be released later than the PC version

whatever.. an OFFICIAL actual news would'nt be bad.. i mean, when some community reps seem to have that much information why we cant have it as news on the loadstone page.. seriously.
