Difference between "Accepted Bugs" and "Confirmed/Planning to Adress"

Hi !


I was checking the status of a bug I have since Benchmark 1.1/7.0 (eyebrows missing color - so greyish they blend with my skin), and I noticed it's still in the "Accepted Bugs" category.

So it's been there since Benchmark 1.1, and I can't help but wonder what that means as there is a "Confirmed/Planning to Adress" category too.

Does that mean someday, very hopefully they will take those 5 mins needed to add the missing color map and move it to the "Confirmed/Planning to Adress" category, or is this more like a checkmark and they eventually forget about it ? Because some reports in there are very old...


Does anyone knows more about this?

Accepted means you filled in the form correctly and they will look at it. Once they plan to address it, it will be moved. More details in the link.

When it's in Accepted Bugs, they have confirmed that it is in fact a bug or that they believe it's likely a bug the warrants investigation at least. When one of mine got put in there, I was actually contacted about it and they said they confirmed it's a bug and that it will be addressed at some point, but diplomatically explained this would not be right away (probably because it wasn't the absolute highest priority and the patch cycles can take months to reflect things they fixed ages ago).

As for whether that bug did get fixed: the answer is yes, it did, not too long after but it took until one of the subsequent patches obviously. It was not ever put in the Confirmed forum and I don't think most get put in there despite getting addressed. I think only the most urgent, high-priority ones with lots of reports actually get put in the Confirmed forum - the sort that they would be considering an emergency patch for. At least in the English version of the forum.

I believe they are still planning a major patch to further address concerns about character appearances.

Nothing has been confirmed at the Accepted stage other than the poster followed the template format and the report presents enough information that the devs should be able to replicate the issue if they wanted to. Once they have replicated the bug and discovered the reason for it, they move it to Confirmed/Planning to Address.

Again, my experience is that this isn't actually the case like they say, as they told me they had confirmed it.

By the forum's own description, it does not confirm that it is a bug. "Accepted" means that adequate information was provided for them to attempt to confirm and/or investigate.

I understand the description, and that's how it should be in theory. I'm just saying that's not how it always works in practice.
