The raid was amazing and most importantly the difficulty is spot on. I sincerely hope they don't nerf the raid because of any whining.

It's cool to hear they did XI justice.

Even though some of the bosses aren't exactly my cup of tea (2nd and 4th especially), I did appreciate the effort into bringing variety and different encounters for each boss, special mention to the third one with multiple targets. I do however have a potentially huge issue with the 4th boss cleaves of which the telegraphs look nice but are also obnoxiously too close to the camera and too big to properly follow, and it's even more egregious to see exactly where they start and where they do end, leaving you guestimating where the geometry is actually gonna apply, and I do feel this is a little crummy and bad artificial difficulty.

I would like for things to be slowed down just a bit to make things easier to understand and not as hectic. I don't think any respectable player should ridicule you for this opinion, however the relative difficulty for the new raid doesn't feel overly disproportionate compared to older tiers, like the Ivalice raids. I think the last boss of Jeuno felt in line with fights like Cidolfus or Ultima when they were current content. The amount of time given to react to mechanics like Implosion, Dark Nebula or Damning Strikes is still generous in my opinion, and Giga Slash is essentially just an easy memory game.

The readability of said mechanics isn't too visually busy for my liking either, I think the feeling of it being a bit hectic could be attributed to it being brand new, as well as the pacing between mechanics giving people very little down time to stand still and go through the motions of their rotation without interruption, which I think of as a positive.

Wanted to +1 because I had a lot of fun with this 24man, too. I was terrified it was going to be another snoozefest like every single entry in Myths of the Realm, and am so, sincerely thankful it isn't. While I'm sure people will learn and it will get easier relatively quickly, I'm pretty damn confident it won't be like the Myths of the Realm series, which were essentially doable even with your eyes closed as a first timer on day one. I really hope they don't nerf anything here.

I found it fine however I will stand by and help shield you from the abuse! I can understand it might be a bit much for a number of players too, no matter how much ridicule and abuse you get know there are those who think the combat direction isn't what the casual end needs.

After the snooze fest what was last Alliance Raid this one was pretty fun. I'm glad they didn't shy from the absolute chaos that was going in blind.

I liked the difficulty, you gotta pay attention or the bosses will kick your ass, and that's all I want from END-GAME LVL100 content.

    I'll join you in shielding.

I haven't unlocked it yet and going by the comments here seeing the Extreme raiders and higher loving it pretty much convinced me barring it required for the relic I'll probably leave it locked until 8.0 when maybe it can be overgeared.

Yes, I know my rotation as MCH

1-2-3 until heat. Use Wildfire then the Heatblast spam with Double Check/Checkmate.
Use the Crit guaranteed when available for Air Anchor, Drill, or Chainsaw

But if the mechanics are as chaotic as people are saying here, meh. Keep that stuff to Extreme / Savage / Ultimates.

I agree. My only issue is that the ilvl requirement is still designed for people who literally don't play the game at all. The bosses will melt pretty soon. I would at least expect a 700 ilvl requirement, if not more because it's non-MSQ content.

My first blind run had 2 wipes total, which is less than what Yoship thought would happen (3 wipes). I won't say it is too easy; there were lots of deaths. If you died a lot in your run, you should take this as a challenge to improve on subsequent runs. People are asking for stepping stones to hard content and this is it: you can practice harder mechanics but without the punishment as you'll likely clear anyways.

That's just the nature of progression. We're at level 100 now, the devs are assuming we're familiar with these mechanics, if you've done the other alliance/normal raids that will (or, should) hold true. Also, there are plenty of "stand and hit the boss" moments of recollection throughout the raid, there is no reason for the raid to be toned back further, we're going to do this raid enough times that we'll know every mechanic like the back of our hand and react accordingly and even breeze through it once we get higher ilvl gear. All of this holds true for any past content on release.

Thankfully, it's completely optional and I will NEVER have to touch it in order to access higher level gear. This was a slog for me and not enjoyable whatsoever. Happy I will never have to touch it again.
