    I guess I wouldn't be against a toggle but this is definitely just a "change bad" scenario, the new controls feel way more intuitive than WASD being entirely fucked up if you change the angle

    Maybe it could be intuitive to learn for people who are trying it for the first time but it's completely insane to change controls in a game without providing a toggle for the old controls. In what world is taking away control options a good idea?

    Also it may be more intuitive for you but you also have to remember that different people have different strategies for taking vertical shots. Some people turn their heads so the controls are now flipped for them. I know someone who streams their PS5 to youtube and then full screens it on their phone to look at it vertically LOL. Also needing to consider controller vs mouse and keyboard etc etc. Do you really think you can assert that this is a positive change across the board for all users?

    Intuitive for you is not intuitive for everyone.

    I play on controller. The old movement was intuitive, but trying to do the new movement, even when I stopped and thought about it and tried to think whether up or down would make the turned camera move the way I wanted it to, I still didn't get it right. It's completely disorienting.

    Also, to think about how to move the camera, I had to disengage with the portrait-orientented view I was looking at (head turned to the side to look at it upright) and look at the whole screen as something abstract, trying to translate my intention into this different view entirely.

    Clearly this change has been applied by someone who shares your thoughts on which way is intuitive, but that doesn't make it intuitive for everyone.
